Our tour with Judy was brilliant, we tasted all types of delicious local food and snacks while listening to the history of every dish and all types of culinary tips from our guide.

One of the best tours of my life. Our guide, June, gave our family a memorable experience we never would have had on our own. She masterfully wove together Taiwan’s food, geopolitics and history into a fun and informative evening that was truly enriching. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

My mother and I had an amazing time on this food tour with June! She communicated with us beforehand to make sure we understood our meeting spot and how to get there (super easy). I told her up front although I was interested in city history, I was really interested in the history of food in Taiwan, how it was culturally relevant, and how different ingredients and cooking styles play a role. She absolutely knocked it out of the park with this—and it was clear her friendships with the vendors played a role in getting great food and service every time. She is so friendly and easy to talk about anything with. She also helped me pick out some ingredients at a local market for me to take home. All the food was amazing, but the Taiwanese “burrito” sticks out for sure as something special! 100% recommend this tour — I’ve done them all over every continent and this ranked as one of the best by far.

June was an excellent guide, we tasted a wide array of foods and she provided really informative cultural, religious and political information about Taiwan.

What a wonderful evening with Jones. Easy-going, approachable, knowledgeable. He was very flexible, taking us at our request to our local Linjiang Night Market, offering insights to every type of food and options in what we might taste. An informative evening with an engaging conversationalist. Highly recommended.

Though this was billed as a "food" tour - it was much more than that. We did indeed eat great local food, and June took us to the best stalls/restaurants and she knows the owners. Glad we came hungry - as the variety and quality of the food choices was great. Have your camera ready as it was a visual treat too! We ended in a Tea shop where we were able to buy some gifts for family and friends at home. In addition, we learned a lot about Taiwan and its peoples, culture, and history. June is a wonderful person who gave us a great peek into Taiwan. Do not hesitate to book with her.

We met Garen on the first night of our stay in Taipei and had a great time learning a lot about the people, culture, history and of course the diversity of Taiwanese cuisine. Garen is a knowledgeable person, funny and a fantastic hostess. Wherever we went, people smiled and were happy to see her. We were able to try many Taiwanese delicacies, both on the street and in the restaurant.

We do recommend to start your trip around Taiwan with “local” knowledge which was perfectly presented to us from Jones through tasting some very typical Taiwanese food and walking us among narrow streets of Taipei.

This tour was amazing! Our guide Jones escorted us not only to local food shops which we could not find or visit by ourselves, but also vegetable shops, local product shops with tastings, tea shops, and more!
He also recommended where we should go for the next day morning to enjoy the local market, and where we should get souvenirs, and this information was very helpful for the rest of our stay in Taipei.
We were so full, and needed to cancel even some more tasting ;D. You can enjoy various foods of Taiwan, and it is worth for money!
