Fun tour, lots to see

Hello,
Hubby and I enjoyed this tour, we were picked up at our hotel, we did have to stop at their base in the city to pick up more people and drop off others for their tours. We were in a van with a smaller group. One of the highlights for me was walking along the Malecon and seeing all the sculptures and the waterfront. We stopped at a leather factory store and a Jewelry store for shopping and a bathroom break. Our tour included a stop at a Coffee factory and lunch which was at the or near the Tequila Distillary and Tasting in the mountain area.
We had some music entertainment during our lunch and lots of photos ops. I thought our guide was informative and friendly.

I liked it and disliked it. It took about an hour to start the tour after being pickup. They pick you up at your hotel and take you back to the Marina where you get into a nicer van with A/C, thank goodness, and then you leave without doing a tour of the Marina. Huh? It quickly becomes too much of a sales tour at a leather shop, jewellery shop, and organic coffee roaster. We did like the tour guide, he was pleasant and engaging with everyone. But he is part of the sales program. We enjoyed the church tour, saw a few statues on the Malecon and then headed out of town to the coffee roaster and then the Tequila Ranch which was a good long drive past Boca de Tomalan. I liked the tequila making explanation with a fun taste testing of a variety of types. It was a definitely a tasting to catch a buzz. Then a late lunch was available for $660- $1000 peso for two. Too expensive for my liking, but we were very hungry, thankfully the food was good. The tour started at 9ish and lasted until 4ish. It's an inexpensive tour for $29 USD, but the goal is to upsell your pants off, so take it or leave it. I would have preferred to leave it if I knew better.

A Sales Tour and BAD!
The tour I was on was nothing but visiting stores - a chocolate store, a silver/jewelry store, a leather product store, and a tequila factory. The tequila tasting was great and the guide was informative and fun and gave us good pours too. But visiting the other stores were quite unnecessary and cost a lot of time. They were NOT city highlights. During the Malecon Art walk, we only got to see the Puerto Vallarta city sign and the Tridon y Nereita Statue (3rd to the last statue from north to south) but there were 12 statues that we could have seen instead of visiting those stores. We were walking around looking for our bus A LOT and it was hot out (time spent for nothing). The tour guide was not good at explaining the things we saw. The food at the tequila tasting place had high markups, but we had no other options because it was in the middle of nowhere (more south than Barcelo Puerto Vallarta resort). Lastly, we didn't get to visit the Los Muertos Pier which should have been one of the city highlights.
I highly recommend you take a uber to Malecon Puerto Vallarta and walk around in the old town/Viejo Vallarta yourself.
This tour was not worth it. I had never been on a worse tour!

Very informative without being to long. We took our 6 y/o and 8 y/o with us and they had fun as well. The tequila distillery portion was family friendly

Too much of a sales tour - one shop to the n yt one as ne than the restaurant for lunch cheated on me for some dollars more than told bevorstand….. better hop on hop off!!!!

Fantastic experience

A very well organized tour and well worth the cost. Freddy and team were highly professional, great knowledge of the region. They took time to entertain the guests throughout the trip. The music and food were great. We highly recommend the tour especially for first-timers to Puerto Vallarta to take in the sights, sounds, and food/drink Mexico has to offer.

City tour

We saw lots of sights. We would have preferred to travel in a smaller van instead of a large bus. It was difficult to see out of the windows. Lunch was too expensive and we had no other options to eat. Guide was good.

Learned a lot about PV!

My mom, brother, and I had a great day! Jesus ("Chewy") was our guide and Carlos was our driver - a winning combo. Chewy was incredibly knowledgable about PV, and I felt like I learned a lot from what he had to say. We came on the tour hoping to learn more about the town's history, and that is definitely what we got.

There were a number of stops for chocolate, silver, coffee, and tequila. The tequila tasting a hoot and a half, but that meal was expensive!! We're not seafood people, so luckily there were other meat options for us. It was probably the most expensive meal we had in PV, and only okay in terms of taste. (Maybe the seafood was better?) The service was great, though!

We had a fun group on the bus, which I think also added to this experience. I'd recommend it - just prepare to spend some additional money along the way!
