What a lovely experience. However it does feel like a production line, but then they are getting through a lot of volume daily. They forgot to come and take our drinks order so we had to call a waiter over. All in all combining this with sightseeing was a pleasant experience. There were no smoked salmon and cream cheese sarnies, but you did get cucumver sarnies (very very thin slice of cucumber), egg mayo, coronation chicken, tinned salmon.
The scones were tiny...the angle of the pic i took shows them bigger than they really were.

This is an efficient service which takes you along the river Thames like a water taxi. Landmarks are mentioned along the way.
The downside for me is the timetabling. It seems to be a very tight timetable and on three occasions people were not permitted to exit the service as they were late getting to the gate and people had started to board.

I received a City Cruise afternoon tea gift experience for 2, for my birthday and booked up for last week.
Booking was relatively easy with the option to add any dietary requirements and allergies.
Upon arrival we we're checked off the list and the member of staff mentioned my nut allergy. We were shown to our table and a short while later someone came to take our drinks order.
The afternoon tea arrived much to my disappointment with a very limited selection of items. The waitress asked who has the allergy and then the non fish, both separate. We soon swapped sandwich plates, although I had clearly stated both were the same person when booking.
The tea stand consisted of 4 sandwiches, followed by 2 biscuits, a creme brulee and 1 small scone with jam (we had one tub of clotted cream between the two of us). It was a great disappointment and not worth skipping lunch for. I've had some fantastic afternoon teas and this defiantly was not one of them.
We proceeded to make the most of it and started our food. The A/C was on full flow and making our tea cold before we could drink it and when we were just over halfway through our food the waitress came and wanted to take our tea stand. We advised (although you could clearly see) that we were still eating.
Around 5 minutes later she came back again and this time we took the plate with food, added it to one stand and let her take the other.
A few minutes later again we had another visit wanting to take the second stand, therefore we quickly took the items and put them onto our plate. She took the stand and asked for the other empty plate, it was all most rude. My friend asked if she wanted to take the plates we were eating from too, seeing as there appeared to be a mad rush to clear everything. My friend then went on to ask for another pot of tea, this seemed a big ask, especially when I asked for one too.
Once we finished our tea we headed up to the top to take in the sights and enjoy the beautiful weather. It was a lovely day and London at it's finest.
The trip was thoroughly enjoyable, as a boat trip, however I would not advise the gift experience . To say it was a let down would be an understatement.

Is this afternoon tea, an EDM dance cruise, a stand-up comedy act, or a sightseeing tour? It seems City Experiences isn't sure as we experienced all of these on our cruise in April, 2023.
For starters, let me say that if you DO go on this cruise, absolutely do not book through a third party, I accidentally double booked through Get Your Guide and have been trying to get my money back for two weeks.
Now, let's get on with the actual cruise. I took this cruise in April with my two teenage daughters. If all you want is to kill two birds with one stone and take a boat ride and have afternoon tea at the same time, and don't care about the quality of either, mission accomplished. If you actually care, then this isn't the place for you.
The boat wasn't decorated other than for some British flags and lacked any kind of ambiance. The tea was lukewarm, the pastries were not fresh, the bread for the sandwiches was soggy, and the clotted cream seemed to be past the shelf life. The scones were the ultimate disappointment - small and hard as a rock. Service was slow and it took several asks to get a knife and plate. I eventually just took one off another table. They were clearing tables before the cruise was over to get set up for the next one.
For the first half of the cruise, we were serenaded with EDM music, which seemed weird for the crowd. On the way back, we had an unofficial tour guide who tried to double as a stand up comedienne. It was awkward, but not nearly as awkward as when we were asked to tip the servers as we exited. As you leave the all the servers line up with a tray for you to put tips on. I had no small bills but even if I did, tipping should have been spelled out in the booking.
I wouldn't do this again - esp. not for this price point. I guess I expected more.

The pier employees directed us to the wrong boat after unspecific directions on the website booking. After speaking with Tower Pier manager and Greenwich Pier manager, both reiterated there should be a refund. After requesting a refund on the website as directed, it was denied. Horrible costumer service on the part of the tour operator.

Hello, there is just the one sitting, 3.30 pm, daily. We went on a weekday though, so I don't know if it's different at weekends.

Does the afternoon tea time has to be within the 24 hours we purchased the hopon/off cruise time frame since it is part of the deal?

I believe the date for the afternoon tea cruise is selected at the booking stage.
The boat has some tables for two people and others that seat four people. My wife and I were seated on a four seater table, but did not share with anybody.
At the time of booking you can make requests such as a two person table next to a window.
Do you have wheelchair access ability and allow dogs?
