My tour left around 430

When I went, the "introductory" tour that took you to about a half-dozen location ended around lunchtime. You then had the option of revisiting those at your leisure (your pass to all venues is valid all day, as many times as you want to enter), or go see other places. I went back to the Church with the El Greco "St. Ignasz (spelling?)" and ate at the lovely trattoria to the right. Plenty of places to eat if you don't want to be anchored to a pre-set spot to eat.

Hello.apologies for the delay. Yes you should be back in time but as you are on holiday and not an army manoeuvre and want to enjoy both, I would suggest you put your tapas evening back to 8.00 or even 8.30.

Unsure why.

Not sure if I have understood your question correctly but we had gone to the pickup point at Plaza Canovas del Castillo (Neptune Fountain close to the Prada museum) where we were picked up by the tour bus at the scheduled time at 9:30 am.

Hola, el tour es de un dia completo. Regresan a las 7 pm mas o menos, si me acuerdo bien. Claro, eso no impide que pases alli solo medio dia para hacer el tour del centro con 3 objectivos si tienes como regresar sin el grupo, pero en mi opinion vale la pena ver el resto de la ciudad por cuenta propria despues y pasa alli un dia.

They are the same tour, but the pickup locations aren't the same. I'd suggest getting there early so you have time to find your bus. We spent about 10 minutes waiting in the wrong spot (the directions are a little vague) and found another group waiting in yet another spot before we all found the bus.
