Upon recommendation at our hotel, we walked to Zephrilli's Restaurant . Signage on the main street was minimal but lovely setting, recessed in off the street on on the second floor; decor, including photos of days and visitors gone by; was very nice. Being greeted with complimentary Persecco and and tiny cream filled cannoli's is a great start! We ordered house red wine by the glass; we split an order of eggplant parm; husband had lasagna(noodles) with pesto sauce and I had Ravioli with cream sauce. Definitely a place to return to.... yum!

We had a tour Marina and it was AMAZING. She did a wonderful job of showing us around Genoa and giving us history highlights between food stops. And the food at every stop was sooooo good! Highly recommend if you only have a bit of time to get a real taste for the city!

Juliana was amazing, she took us to local spots in genoa and the food was great. Juliana was also very helpful and informative, recommend 100% if you’re ever in genova

Marina was the tour guide and she was very knowledgeable regarding the overall history from medieval times to more recent times. She was more than helpful in catering the group's dietary dislikes. The food at the various locations were great and tasty. I really like the first dishes with the various pastas, I liked the pesto pasta the best. The meat ravioli was more meaty than I liked but still was good. She also had many useful directions for places to see and experience as well as places to eat. I highly recommend taking this tour.

Tour guide was wonderful, friendly and really obviously cares about Genoa, its food, its history and its culture. Length of the tour is perfect, not too long but long enough to see everything without being rushed - and the food at every stop makes it all the better. Really enjoyed this tour, it was the perfect way to explore the peaceful and relaxing city of Genoa. I would definitely recommend visiting the city for a weekend and taking this tour.

A lovely morning spent strolling the streets of the old Town. Marina was a great guide, sharing much of the city's history as well as introducing us to some of the local cuisine (little places we would have passed by without realizing what we were missing). Highly recommend, especially as the pace was easy and the food delicious. We revisited a few of them the next day, in fact. The food was mostly simple local cuisine, in decent portions that left us quite full and in no need of supper that evening! A memorable and lovely way to experience Genoa.

We loved this tour! Our guide was great, very knowledgeable and informative about the area. A native, she shared her family history and information we would not have known otherwise. And, the food was great! So fun to discover this hidden side to Genova.

Really enjoyed the tour, despite blustery cloudy day. Marina was great guide, knowledgeable about city history and especially the food. Had focaccia, traditional farinata and other veggie tarts, fried fresh seafood, wonderful thin pizza with pesto and local cheese and ham. And amaros. Only surprise was no pasta.

Yes, we walked from the cruise ship to the ferry dock. Took the ferry to the other side (don’t remember the name of the stop) from there it’s a 10min walk to the shop.

Hello... We are a group of 6 arriving in March and are wondering what is the difference between the street food and traditional Genoa tour? Please let us know so we can decide if we want to book! The reviews left by others really don't indicate which tour they were on, so we don't really know what the difference in price provides.

We did the traditional tour because we had two little kids and my mother-in-law with us so we wanted to make sure we would be able to sit down on occasion. That being said, some things we are were street food, and some were sit down mess. We had a combination of focaccia, fritti misti, trofie al pesto, ravioli, etc. Like the other posters say, you can’t go wrong here. Good luck!

I'm trying to book myself into the Do Eat Better Experience, for the 24/07/19 in Genoa, but it is not letting. The message I get is: We're sorry, this activity requires between 2 and 10 adults. Are there no spaces or has no one booked? Could you advise me please. Thanks

I did the tour recently and I would say you probably could make vegetarian choices at most the places we went! The guides are very friendly and helpful so I’m sure you’d be accommodated.
