A great musical evening in a great location

It was a superb location for a concert & the orchestra were very good. The more you pay, the better seats you have. This is worth remembering when booking. The venue could also do with some air conditioning.

It seems they change who performs each time, I didn’t buy a program so I’m not sure who performed for our event, but it’s was phenomenal and I’d love to see them again. A lot of fun!

Concert si on n'a pas trouvé de places ailleurs.

Déception, car nous nous attendions à être emportés par l'émotion mais au final, cela ne l'a pas fait. Nous avons eu droit à 2 fois 35 mn de musique (17 musiciens et 1 Chef d.O) avec des chants lyriques ( 1 H et 1 F) (et une entracte de 30 mn). la 1ere partie : Mozart mais pas les plus connus et la 2e partie comme prévu Strauss et ses valses dont le Danube bleu. Un dimanche soir, placé à la catégorie C, dans un auditoire au 3/4 plein, nous avons noté que le son n'était pas qualitatif avec quelques résonnance. la salle bien que décoré par des éclairages chauds, ne permet pas de rattraper cette émotion.
A la fin, le rappel a même été ridicule : un "jacques à dit" bien curieux.
Bref, pour nous, cher et peu intéressant.

Dear Guest, we are very sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your experience. As you mention, we like to surprise our guests with some lesser known pieces by Mozart and Strauss, because they are wonderful songs and go out of the routine and touristy, which is usually very appreciated by our audience. Each concert has two 45-minute halves and a 15-minute break in between. If the pause was a little long, we apologize. As for the category, we have several options such as VIP, A, B and C. The category farthest from the stage is C, but it is also the most economical. For those who want to enjoy the concert closer to the stage, we recommend a category closer to the stage. However, category C is intended to offer an option for those travelers who need to save a little more during the trip, but still want to visit a good concert. We hope your visit to Vienna was a pleasant one and apologize for any inconvenience. Regards, the Schoenbrunn Palace Concert Team.

Great orchestra and singing but spoilt by some concert goers who were video recording the concert that affected the whole atmosp
The concert was great. The ushers were very friendly and helpful. The experience was, however, marred by some concert goers in front of us, taking video of the concert despite being told not to do so. They are very distracting as they put their handphones so high up. I expected the ushers to approach them to stop them from doing that, which spoilt the atmosphere, but sadly, the ushers did not enforce it.

Real Vienese music!
I expected 'tourist music'. It wasn't. It was great, performed by a proper, smallish orchestra, played accurately and with gusto, and some humour from the very clever conductor. The vocal soloists were excellent too. Excerpts from Don Giovani and Marriage of Figaro, then the Viennese repertoire from Strauss including the Blue Danube, of course, and the Radetsky March. Well worth the ticket price!

Well worth doing once in a lifetime.

Well worth doing once in a lifetime. An entertaining concert with an excellent soprano; even the 'frothy' second half of Strauss et al was more enjoyable than expected! The chamber orchestra produced a surprisingly rich sound. A bonus was that the concert was held in the Great Gallery with it's painted ceilings and white/gold decor; a location, we think, more palatial than the Orangery would be. Our only criticism is that for those concerts held in the Great Gallery, the information provided on ticket collection is inaccurate.
