Myself and two sons went on this lovely tour, we visited several wineries and had a lovely lunch as part of the tour, our guide was super friendly and knowledgable, it also included short cruise which was nice.
Totally worth the day trip and the scenery was absolutely gorgeous.

The tour was well structured in terms of activities. Our tour guide Camilo was very knowledgable in wine and the relevant cultural aspects. He was very polite, punctual, spoke clearly, and offered lots of travel pointers. The ride was pleasant as well as the wine tastings. The people at the wineries and at the lunch place were also very warm and welcoming of tourists. Good selection and sampling of a number of local wines. The river cruise was definitely a nice highlight, the boat was super clean and air conditioned, great views out on the deck. The Melk abbey view in the end was also very nice and simply stunning.

We were 6 passengers in an 8 seat minivan, on our Hidden Wachau Valley tour with Vienna Explorer. Our guide was Marco. The tour was great fun. We visited 2 wineries, had lunch at a Heurigen (Austrian wine tavern), and took an hour boat ride on the Danube. Marco was a fine guide, and he knew all the vintners personally, which made for an enjoyable tour.

Excellent tour - the Sigl vineyard was much better stop than Domaine which felt too commercial. Tim. Tour guide was very knowledgeable and an excellent guide.

The entire tour was wonderful, every aspect of it. Marco is a very friendly and cheerful person and he was very informative.
The company was lovely, a mix of people from different parts of the world and all of us had a lovely time.
I would definitely recommend this tour, 100%.

I was told it runs a very limited basis and with no river cruise.
I want to join the tour on a Sunday, and I'm worried that the Heuriger places might be closed on Sundays. So my question is, do you also visit Heurigers and do wine tastings on sunday tours??

If the tour takes place on a Sunday then I think everything would be open. I do know the boat ride down the Danube ends sometime in September. You may want to find out when. It was included in the tour.
The date I want is sold out. Can I be on a waiting list in case someone cancels?

There weren't any kids in our tour group, either. I don't recall seeing kids at the wineries, but there were some on the ferry boat and at Melk Abbey.

They leave you to take a public ferry. They do serve wine, but you need to buy each glass. The prices are similar to restaurants. They did have some really good local white wines on board!

There was no biking. There were 8 very small samples of wine. I’d estimate that it added up to around 1.5 glasses for the whole day

My husband and I will be on a Viking Boat and would love to take a tour of your winery on Sunday April 28, 2019.....is there a way to do this? Is there transportation from the boat to your winery? We would love to take a tour and have lunch...is this possible? what would price be?

My friend and I took the tour last September. We visited two wineries for tastings and a winery for lunch. The tour ended with a river cruise to Melk. The tour leaves from the company's office where you check-in and meet your drive/guide for the day.
