We very much enjoyed this tour guided by Alan who was both enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Until now neither of us have been great fans of Art Deco but now that we have a better understanding of it we see it and enjoy it everywhere. We can highly recommend the tour and the lovely town of Napier.

Robin was such a friendly, knowledgeable tour guide. We had a great time, it was very interesting and a great way to spend the morning. Even my husband who was that interested in it to begin with found it really interesting and enjoyed himself.

The tour has been very informative for us. We learnt more about the clever design of art deco especially on the tapered sides of buildings. Chris has shared with us soo much knowledge. We are very thankful and now we see art deco designs with a different lens. Highly recommended!

This was a very informative walking tour. Starts with a short video about the earthquake which impacted Napier and resulted in many buildings in Napier being rebuilt in the Art Deco style. Then a tour of the main Art Deco buildings in the town. The walk is leisurely paced, mostly on flat surfaces and not too far. Excellent too if you want to learn about the different Art Deco styles. The Art Deco Trust has a number of Art Deco items for sale - the proceeds of which assist in maintaining the Art Deco heritage. Definitely recommend.
