Stunning scenery and knowledgeable tour guide
It’s a long day (pickup from Myeongdong at 6.50am and drop off after 8pm) but the three places visited are lovely in different ways and the scenery from the bus is fabulous.

Sadly, it rained the whole day but with a rain poncho you could power though. It also made for some beautiful misty views.

Paul, the guide, was great - very knowledgeable and spoke about the history of South Korea and the location where we at, while also allowing some quiet time on the bus, which was great.

At each location, we had a couple of hours and choices of what we could do - an easy walk or a hike, cable car trip etc.

Mount seorak - a large national park with an amazing Buddhist temple with a choice of walks and hikes and a cable car to a mountain peak. Also a giant Buddha statue which was amazing. The temple was stunning and very calming. The cable cat trip was worth the extra as it was quick (5 minutes each way) with amazing views, even in the rain. Very beautiful.

Nami island - where we stopped for lunch before getting on the ferry to the island. The food was ok but there was a bigger choice and much of it cheaper on the island. The island was amazing - tree lined paths, shops, exhibitions (moomin when I was here), shows, ponds, hotels…. You name it, the island had it.

The Garden of Morning Calm - stunning. A privately owned garden started years ago when the owners travelled and wanted to show Korean gardens as well as the gardens he’d seen in his travels. So there’s a bonsai garden, flowering garden, conifer etc. there are well documented signs and maps, as well as shops for four or souvenirs all over. Also lots of bathrooms.

The bus was air conditioned and comfy - and had a usb charging port on the back of some chairs which is handy when you’ve spent 14 hours taking photos.

Worth it, even being such a long day. Take water and a rain poncho.

Beautiful views!

We were looking to go to Nami Island. The option see Mount Seorak & The Garden of Morning Calm along with it was not something we were even aware of. I am so happy that we chose this tour as they actually stole our hearts. The mountain views are amazing and the gardens were breath taking! Sometimes the unexpected can be the most wonderful! Absolutely tell have my family and friends to go on this tour. Paul was so knowledgeable and kind. He made us laugh a lot & really was kind answering all questions. The bus was roomy, clean and air conditioned. They stopped at adequate times for a break and lunch. Not to mention they allow for tourists to adventure on their own or to stay with the tour group! I liked that a lot. Definitely worth every penny for the journey & memories!

Definitely recommend!
It was a fantastic trip!! Paul was really amazing ! Great dricing skill, planned the trip well as there was too kuch to.cover, took lots of photos for us, gave recommendations and very knowledgeable about the history and patiently answered all questions! I found the timings of the tour juat rigth if you are doing a short stay in seoul.

Long but worth it

I was unsure of what to make of this trip when I made the booking, I wanted to get out of Seoul and see what Korea was like, so picked this.

Do yourself a favor, and BOOK THIS TOUR.

It was wonderful, Paul was a fantastic guide, and I got to see a part of Korea that I didn't know existed.
Paul texted the day before to confirm pickup, we arrived at 6:50am and didn't returned until 8pm+. It's a long day but worth it as you travel around 500km round trip on the bus to the east coast. The bus comes with chargers in the chairs which I appreciated after many photos and a long day.

We took the cable car up Mount Seorak, and visited the peak with rocks which was wonderful. There is a slight walk but manageable. After returning to the ground, we visited the Buddhist temple which was nice and had tea and coffee next to the bridges. Some people took the time to hike, but you need to have a level of fitness which I do not have!

This was followed by a trip to Nami island, which whilst beautiful, I personally could of spent less time at, however other people really enjoyed it. The highlight for me was following Pauls suggestion for lunch, which was a Chicken BBQ and delicious. The whole bus ended up at this place and it was delicious.

The unexpected tour highlight for myself and travel companion was the Garden of Morning Calm. It was brilliant. We arrived close to closing time, so not many crowds at all, which I think added to it's beauty. Recommended, just to visit this place.

Again, Paul was a wonderful guide, and I would travel with him again.

Wonderful trip!
If you're unsure, go ahead and book it!

Great and cute guide! Was a really long day so come prepared. At seoraksam I would advise you to take the cable car for great views

Great value for money
We fit so much into one day! Paul was an amazing driver/tour guide, he genuinely really seemed to care about us as a group. We were very lucky with the weather, but honestly even if it had been raining all day, it still would be been amazing just because of the locations. Really great value for money tour.

Awesome natural beauty.
This was a good day trip for our family. Tes, our guide tried to make the trip enjoyable. Mount Seorak is well worth the 2 hour drive from Seoul. We were allocated 2 hours there and we used them up. Next was Nami Island and here we could have just used one hour (instead of two). We were exhausted by the time we got to the best part - the Garden of morning Calm.
I would suggest two things to the organizer:
1. Please get a newer van.
2. Please shorten the duration of the tour. It gets really tiring especially in the summer.
Overall, a really good experience and 5 stars to our guide, Tes! Thank you!

Awesome trip, highly recommended!

Awesome itinerary and trip to explore a few places within a day trip! Jack is friendly, approachable, speak good English language, open to share his knowledge and experience. Appreciate the information on local food recommendation at Jeju after knowing I am heading over there on my own, all of the food was great!

Rest assured with Jack's recommendation on theplaces to visit or food which he have brought the group to a local restaurant near the ferry terminal to Nami Island, the chicken pan was so good and eating it for the first time!

Appreciate the gesture and text reminder the day before the tour! Will recommend the tour by Jack to people that I know and exploring Korea! If Jack do provide tour in other parts of Korea or other countries, I will be looking forward to joining his tour again!
