Nice way to see the city from a different perspective. The speed boat was easy to drive after a short training from the guide. He led and we followed in our own boat. We had a walkie talkie connection that he used to give directions and narrate during stops. This was included with our City Pass and was an unexpected highlight.

One of the coolest activities you can do in San Diego

This is probably one of the coolest activities you can do in San Diego. Such a fun thrill ride. We apparently only went 35mph but it feels like 100mph on the open water. My boyfriend and I took turns driving. The tour part was great, we got to see the city and cool sites where we got to stop and take some photos. We were making good time so at the end we had a little time to go off on our own. We went on a Monday morning and the water was still not a lot of movement or boats around. I highly recommend this experience to literally everyone.

This is an actual fun boat ride. Not the cool boats you see online but still have fun on these 4 seater boats.

This was an amazing excursion to do. I would do it again! 10 out of 10!

Amazing BUT…

Amazing experience. Amazing tour guide, Koani… BUT the boat have a hatch door which flaps heavily when going fast. The sounds sours the experience. Management needs to install an easy inexpensive fix to all the boats. Customer experience will improve considerably.

Fantastic experience!
Our tour guide was fantastic and the experience was amazing! We got to see sea lions bathing in the sun and went under the massive air craft carrier. It was a bit frustrating being in a line with other boats, but it’s obviously the safest method.

A must do in San Diego!
I highly recommend this activity for all visitors and locals. Our tour guide Nate was knowledgeable and informative on all points of our tour. He made sure to point out Coronado Island and Coronado bridge and Point Loma. We got up front and close to the USS Midway and all the hot spots along Seaport Village. Water traffic was very low during our visit so Nate gave us open range to speed in and around the Bay for 30 minutes before the end of our tour. That was the best time of our tour! We will definitely be back!! Thanks Nate for a great time!

Fun little boat trip
Fun boat tour , not quite as long as I had imagined , and we didn’t go anywhere near the bridge or that part of Coronado Island .
Nate was great - really knowledgeable and helpful to those who had no boating experience. Nice way to see a bit of San Diego from the water

Weekend boating

Great time and the guide, Captain K was very attentive and safety was a priority. First time to San Diego and the history tour was very helpful

This was a GREAT experence.The guide was patient with a few slower folks but we still had time to go fast. I had planned on letting my 15 year old daughter drive but it was a little stressful driving so fast and keeping the boat steady. She said she would rather enjoy the ride and she still had time to steer when we returned to the less choppy water in the harbor. My 18 year old son had a blast and said it was an experiene he will always remember.

You won't be sorry - Do it!

I was a bit anxious about doing this but I wanted to have a unique experience with my 12-year old granddaughter. Nate was a patient guide. He made me feel at ease.

I asked again to confirm the instructions before we took off, then I made sure I stayed behind him in the "duck" formation. The duration was 1.5 hours.

For those who have not done this, what you need to keep in mind is that because of the strong waves and wind, you have to keep your hands firmly on the wheel. You can go as fast as you want to, not too slow, or you will fall behind.

My granddaughter had a blast! She was yelling, "Go faster, go faster!"

The only nerve-racking moment was when two of the boats went pass us going really fast and zigzagging between each other. I think the two couples knew each other and they were racing.

Overall, this is a memorable experience, fun, and safe (if you listen to the instructions the guide provides).

One other thing, I had reserved a boat for two, however, ALL the boats can accommodate four people. Oh, and we did not get wet. A jacket is needed though.

Don't miss out on this experience!
