a true medieval village worth visiting.
Each house has flowers in front of its entrance making the village even more beautiful.
The inhabitants are very kind.
Enrico, the tobacconist at the beginning of the village, a very exquisite person, ready to help you in everything.
You eat great everywhere.
It's like living in a fairy tale.

A nice place. Excellent location with lots of parking. Within walking distance in a few minutes. Excellent services and historical icons both in the square and at the central entrance bastion to the village. An Italian visit not to be missed.

Beautiful village, nice to get around on foot. There are many many stairs, climbs and descents to do, but the streets are all beautiful to walk around. The castle is very beautiful, externally it is imposing and really well kept. The internal tower on the other hand is a bit of a mix of modern pieces and ancient pieces... unfortunately you can only see the tower but it would be nice to be able to visit more areas. shame about the cloister of the church and the mayor's exhibition which also close at 12.30 on weekends. For tourists it's not the best because you don't stay there all day. half a day is enough to tour it all. However beautiful view and really pretty village.

Beautiful village... I recommend taking a guided tour of the beautifully maintained castle and then inside the walls typical trattorias where you can eat very well, an experience worth repeating

I had already read something about this place and as soon as I had the chance we went to visit it. One of the villages if not the most beautiful village seen so far, the castle is beautiful, but the village is superlative, beautifully preserved, still inhabited and there is no shortage of trattorias, bars and small but splendid places for snacks or small lunches. If you are nearby, absolutely do not miss visiting this wonderful village.

Walking inside the village is very pleasant, the hidden corners, the historic buildings, the picturesque stone houses and the narrow cobbled streets bring to life a fascinating atmosphere of bygone eras. The village, in fact, has maintained its medieval appearance and today is a happy living testimony of the past. Despite being very small, it has many attractions to visit, among its pearls the Palazzo del Podestà, the Rocca Viscontea and the collegiate church of S. Maria Assunta stand out. "Getting lost" in its alleys you will also discover characteristic shops which contribute to making the visit very interesting.

Pleasant return. Always fascinating, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. It's a shame that they allow cars to pass within the walls and park in the castle square. It would be better to preserve these no longer reproducible beauties.

All’inizio del borgo c’e un ampio parcheggio, per salire sulla Rocca invece avrà necessità di un ausilio o persona accompagnata

Is public transportation available from Cinque Terre?

Quite difficult. Of course public transportation is available but from Cinque Terre you have a long patiente way to get in the nice Castell'Arquato. You will have to reach Piacenza by train and then by bus until there.In auto it will take around 2 1/2 hour and by public transport I would say the double.

Certamente è possibile trovare parcheggio anche per i Camper nel parcheggio che si trova subito dopo il ponte con semaforo annesso (attenzione semaforo con telecamera) a destra se arrivate diciamo dall'autostrada e vi ritrovate Castell'Arquato di fronte. Potete tranquillamente parcheggiare anche al parcheggio del cimitero che si trova in cima a Castell'Arquato facilmente raggiungibile tramite una strada esterna che vi porterà direttamente in cima, se avete il navigatore impostate cimitero ed il gioco è fatto, aggiungo anche che il parcheggio non necessita di disco orario.
