Today I visited the Castle of San Pietro in Certo, I found the experience very pleasant, the castle is rich in furnishings, furnishings, weapons and armor. A friendly and prepared Guide accompanied us to discover the place, very interesting also the exhibition of contemporary art and the surprise of the dungeons, the original copy of the terracotta army in about 45 copies. I was surprised.

The castle is located in the small village of San Pietro Al Cerro: we took a guided tour that lasted approx. 80 min. (cost €10) within a group of approx. 25 people.
It was built in the 15th century, probably on the remains of an ancient castle of which only the keep remained, on the initiative of the Barattieri family.
The entrance is very scenic, along a tree-lined avenue in the middle of the park that leads to the main entrance.
The visit includes: the weapons room, numerous private rooms once inhabited by the owners, the M.I.M. (museum of modern art) which occupies several rooms in the attic and, unmissable, the room of the terracotta army, which contains 45 reproductions of the originals discovered in China in the last century.
The castle is still privately owned and is well maintained, there are numerous furnishings (not original, but consistent with the eras it went through), the guided tour was interesting although a little rushed and the overall view is very pleasant.
Recommended visit.

I stayed at the Locanda del Re Guerriero (excellent location) adjacent to the Castle and with Alessandra, a superlative guide who I would like to thank for her friendly, capable of drawing attention to the explanation and not boring.
The extremely pleasant visit to the rooms of the castle where you can breathe a magical air.
To see in the Castle of San Pietro in Cerro: the west wing of the underground where the permanent exhibition is set up with over 40 statues of the Warriors of Xi'an, faithful reproductions of the originals authenticated by the Chinese government.

There are over forty terracotta statues of the Warriors of Xian displayed in the dim underground of the Castle of San Pietro in Cerro.
The Warriors are deployed in war gear as they were in the 3rd century. BC, when they were placed to guard the monumental tomb of Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor of China.

Abbiamo trascorso un incantevole domenica in compagnia del nostro cagnolino che è potuto entrare all'interno del castello durante la visita guidata. Gli ambienti molto curati, gli arredi originali e in ogni stanza un profumo differente che rendeva l'atmosfera magica e fiabesca. Coinvolgente il museo di arte moderna e contemporanea. Strabilianti i sotterranei da cui robot e guerrieri in terracotta occhieggiavank dalle segrete.

Molto bello sia il castello al suo esterno con un grande parco ed il vialone d’ingresso che nel complesso ma purtroppo non siamo riusciti ad entrare, visite solo guidate ed ad orari precisi. Ci ritorneremo

Visitato a sorpresa in quanto adiacente alla Locanda del Re Guerriero dove ho soggiornato, mi è piaciuto molto. Conservato in modo ordinato ed impeccabile, trasuda storia e rivela molto più di quello che sembra dall'esterno. Merita una visita.

Abbiamo alloggiato alla locanda adiacente al castello. Era consentita la visita la domenica mattina con una guida che è stata veramente molto brava a raccontare la storia del castello.il castello è ben tenuto all’interno ci sono numerosissime opere d’arte e delle mostre di arte contemporanea nei piani più alti. La sorpresa più grande è che nel sotterraneo del castello sono presenti i guerrieri di terracotta. È una bellissima idea per una gita anche domenicale la consiglio a tutti

Non saprei, ma comunque può vedere sul sito del castello san Pietro in cerro e chiedere tramite i contatti. Forse su prenotazione di più persone. È comunque da visitare. Buona serata
