Lovely resort right next to the beach. Plenty of swimming pools and restaurants to choose from. All of the staff were so friendly and helpful. Lots of entertainment and plenty of activities for children. Would definitely recommend. I intend to return.

Pleasant setting but lots of seaweed and trash. Location is good with very nice restaurants near by. Grassy park is nicely shaded.

my business partner and I travel to the Dominican Republic on a regular bases to do business we have stayed at Cofresi many times however this past week was one of the most horrific experience we had no hat water our room was full of steam from the shower wet floors i could go on and on but the bright light of our experience was Stacy from guest services and Karla and Gabriela from the front desk after the first 2 days we decided never to come back here but Stacy changed all that she went above and beyond by accommodating us by changing our room and making our last 3days amazing Im considering putting a proposal to the cigar club to hold there convention there with over 50000 member last year it was in Vegas if i do its only because of the great treatment we received from Stacy thank you Stacy for all you've done for us I truly hope she is acknowledged for her amazing work

They don’t really clean sea weeds,and allow locals that trying to sell you $5 a piece coconuts,$20 baby monkey pics that 5hey take with your cellphone, dogs

If you are looking for first class, look elsewhere. Food, rooms, transportation need improvement. Staff expect lots of daily tips. Paying for the onsite food is mandatory. Watered down drinks and cheap rum flows freely but tip. Lots of pools that you can not go to. Nightly entertainment that you can not see from the distant seating. If you do not mind algae at the pool waterfal no problem. If you are okay withdirty scarred marble floors with mold on the side it is wonderful. All is well if you do not look too close. Somewhat like getting dressed up without baathing. The attraction does not come with the hotel package.

While staying at the Royal Suites @ Lifestyle Holidays and we were very disappointed in the beech. It was extremely narrow meaning only about 10-15' wide because they have developed right up tot he edge. It was dirty with lots of trash. It wasn't very long I bet you could only walk a mile or so. We stayed in Playa Cabarete at an Air BNB and were so spoiled by the absolutely beautiful beech. It was super wide, clean and it seemed like we could walk forever. I'd skip Confresi and head to Playa Cabarete!

It's a great beach with gentle waves and shade to enjoy. There are lounge chair vendors, local stores, and restaurants right there - steps away. You will have a great time!

For the most part, Cofresi Beach from the Point down to Ocean World is broken up with Lifestyles resorts, Cofresi Palm Resort, and the local beach which becomes over-ridden with locals Sat. and Sundays..Mostly sandy but rocky in spots...OK but, just average.

There really isn’t a main building unless you are referring to the Tower. The Towet is the place where they take you and try to get you to buy into the property.

We are coming in on a cruise ship to the Amber Cove cruise port. How far is this beach? How much by taxi will it cost and are there public bathrooms/facilities we can use?

We're thinking of renting a villa high above Cofresi beach but within 15 minutes of it. We're interested in a quiet, clean uncrowded beach with some shade spots and beach chairs and umbrellas available. (We are not staying at any of the nearby resorts).
Does Cofresi beach meet these objectives or are there other beaches nearby that are better? We'll have a car.

I do not recommend the beach by Lifestyles. I do recommend you drive to playa dorada beach. It is a public beach and you will not be bothered as much as the other nearby beaches. Playa Dorada beach is also very beautiful and big. You can also rent an umbrella and chairs so you don't have to carry any with you.

I’m trying to find out if there is a beach closed to the cruise (amber Cove) port that we can take a cab and be there for a couple hrs…. if so:
How far is the beach from the port?
How much is the Cab fare?
VERY IMPORTANT: is it safe????

I think that some cruise lines might have day trips to the resort. Not certain tho. Taxis aren't cheap, but we always felt safe. You defiantly don't want to drive on the island. It's insane!

You probably won't be able to get into a VIP restaurant, but there are plenty of others. There is a casino in the chairman's tower "the dome" at ocean world.
