Is it a nice park? Yes. However, what makes it worth the slight detour is the great views of Mount Etna. Nice setting with great view.

Located along Via Etnea is a very nice and well maintained Villa. Very pleasant to take a walk and enjoy the tranquility of the place or sit on the many benches there are to nibble something. Stopover if you spend a day in Catania

We walked the garden from north to south, it is a beautiful space worth a wonder as it is cooler than on the road. The fountain is in the south east corner, and is very relaxing . Worth a visit to this area alone for the trees. There is a concert being set up so it was quite busy when we visited.

Nice garden in the evening and morning and I had a nice experience at the Irama concert. Central and there are also good restaurants nearby. Safe area even if you are with children

We were pleased when we found this oldest urban park in Catania!
But only as we started to admire the beautiful plants, the nice fountain and a clock with a flower dial - it started to rain heavily.
For a couple of minutes, we hid under the trees, but we very soon realized that we had to find an indoor refuge!

A beautiful, green and well-kept park located on Via Etna. The park is built in stages, with a fountain pool at the entrance, huge, perhaps centuries-old trees, statues, access to the upper parts of the park with steps, sit down, breathe, watch the surroundings, open your eyes and your heart.

Decent enough park with pretty landscaping and gazebo. I’ve seen better, I’ve seen worse. Seems to be a colony of cats being fed by one bush. Views from atop to below are picture-worthy, including of Mount Etna.

The park is named after the composer Vincenzo Bellini and is the largest park in Cantania. The park is very central and can be accessed from different locations. Statues of famous people are set up on one side. The pavilion is a music pavilion. You can see many great trees and plants there. Among other things, there are various palm trees and rubber trees that are as big as the palm trees. There are also lovingly designed flower beds and strelitzias. There are benches everywhere so that you can spend time there even when the weather is good.

A lovely garden to walk around in day or night time..a nice little fountain and bandstand as a good viewpoint.

buongiorno, desidero conoscere quanto la struttura sia vicina al teatro bellini o se qualcuno puo' essermi di aiuto nel trovare un B&B nei pressi del Teatro, ovvero raggiungerlo a piedi facilmente; inoltre desidererei sapere se la vostra struttura sia raggiungibile in auto e se vi sia possibilità di parcheggio. As far as i know and noticed while staying there
it stays open all the time/ but it's not recommend at nigh... so dark and sometimes there are bad people gathering there/

How far would this be to walk from the cruise ship terminal please, and is that an uphill walk?

Unless you are a swift walker it would be a long walk from the cruise ship terminal. I would take a local bus or a taxi. Yes, it is only a short walk from the Duomo. If you only have a short time in Catania then I would question whether you would need to waste time on the Garden. There are many more interesting things to see. However, if you are looking for a vantage point or just to get out of the hub bub of the town, then this would be a place to do so but you would need to climb all those steps.
