Played with our group The Alchemist and The Architect. These are some amazing escape rooms. Previously done The Vault and that was the reason we went again. The building itself already adds to the atmosphere. The escape rooms themselves are well put together and are very nicely designed. The Architect is a bit more traditional, The Alchemist is equipped with all the latest news in the field of escape rooms.

I recently visited Sherlocked to try out "The Alchemist" after having an amazing time with "The Architect." Unfortunately, "The Alchemist" didn’t quite live up to expectations, especially given the €229 price tag.
We played with just two people, even though the room is priced for three, and we managed to finish in about 70 minutes. Despite playing with fewer people, the puzzles weren’t really that challenging. We got stuck on the first puzzle for a bit, but the rest felt fairly straightforward and not as immersive as we’d hoped. Some of the puzzles seemed like they could’ve been from a printable escape room rather than a live experience.
The overall design didn’t quite match the premium feel we were expecting. There were a few technical details that took us out of the experience, and the thematic elements didn’t come together as strongly as we thought they would. The alchemy vibe felt underdeveloped, and the story didn’t quite tie everything together in a cohesive way.
What really frustrated me, though, was the lack of response to the feedback I sent over a month ago. I reached out after the game with some honest thoughts, but never heard back, even though they were super quick to answer when we asked about playing with two people beforehand.
For me, this review is a middle ground between the 5-star experience we had with "The Architect" and the 2-star experience with "The Alchemist." Considering the price and everything we experienced, there are definitely better escape rooms out there for under €150. Sherlocked has potential, but "The Alchemist" really needs a lot of work to justify its price.

AMAZING-WONDERFUL!!!!
We've been totally taken into some kind of movie. See you outside the escape room! Beautifully put together, so awesome. no pictures added because you can't take them inside. But believe me everything is right!

We did all 3 rooms and all have a story studied with a very strong acting part. Our favorite was The Alchemist, this enigmatic, cosmic and spiritual journey that reconnected us with the universe and life. Very nice souvenir of the game.

Bonkers. Just bonkers. Man this game is MAGICAL. I can see why it’s the best in the world. Our GM was delightful, the set design was the best I’ve ever witnessed (and I’ve witnessed quite a few) and the puzzles flowed really well. The finale was the best I’ve ever experienced.

Outstanding escape rooms! Sherlocked takes their rooms to the next level of artistry. We completed their first room, The Architect, as well as their latest jewel, The Alchemist. It was fun to see how their rooms have evolved over time. The Architect is a well-executed traditional escape room with quality puzzles and setting. The Alchemist is extraordinary in its artistry. A beautiful space with intriguing puzzles and immersive design. Our hosts were friendly and it was a pleasure to de-brief the rooms after we finished. Customer service was first rate. We did a tour of 11 escape rooms in the Netherlands and The Alchemist took first prize in our book!

We did all 3 rooms here and they were all great! We had such an amazing time! Would highly recommend at least the Vault or the Alchemist. All were fun though.

We love escape rooms. Last week I did one that was very disappointing so that had to be compensated! So first I looked at terpeca.com and this one was on it and there was also room! So books! Super cool location and a very nice space. History seeps into the room! Our daughter had a taste for it and went through it like a train! Maybe next time just read a little better... Achterfa also showed that we had done well to start with this one. We will definitely be back for the other two. So play this room!

After over 500 rooms, I have a new favorite game - Sherlocked's The Alchemist.
The set design, technology, and special effects, are all woven together to create an experience that is designed to inspire wonder.
If I was rating the room on puzzles alone, it would already be an above-average escape room. They are a nice medium level of difficulty -- non-trivial, but not so complex as to be tedious or frustrating. We solved them as a team of 2 players without issue. Many of the solutions result in very satisfying payoffs, and are well integrated into the story.
I was practically in tears at the beauty of the finale. The Alchemist stands head and shoulders over the hundreds of other games I've played all around the world.

Lovely escaperoom with a lot of suprises, funny acting and intresting puzzles. Loved the way we started at an public space and decensed deeper into this mystery

I thought it would be a blast for 7 people but the website says 6 is the maximum. You can probably split into two groups and perhaps to do two rooms at the same time. According to their website the prices for The Architect vary from €129 to €149 per game and the prices for The Vault vary from €139 to €159 (depending on what date and time you choose)the same time.

There are some parts of the puzzle which won’t be reachable, but if the person is in a group, there’s still a lot to do.

The timer in the escape room is set to 1 hour. However, prior to escaping the room, you're nicely received by the host, and after the wardobe and other belongings are sorted, you're smoothly being led into the mystery at hand. And after the escaping attempt is done, the staff takes a picture of your team, then you get to pick up your belongings at your own pace.
So all in all, you're in the building for at least 1.5 hours.

Bonjour! First of all, it's important to realize that the games are in English, and not available in French. If you or your children don't understand and speak English, we do not recommend playing the game. If you do, then booking a ticket on our website is indeed required. Beaucoup de plaisir!

Hello,
I'm dying to go to Sherlocked, I will be in Amsterdam only Wed & Thursday May 10 & 11 and Friday during the day. Is this something I can pair up with some others because I will be visiting Amsterdam alone. I don't want to miss this experience. I am a mystery writer. Suggestion welcome!

Great to see that you're so enthusiastic about Sherlocked! The Architect can be played by 2-6 persons and The Vault by 4-6 persons. You have to assemble your own team though, so if you could find at least 1 person you would be able to play The Architect :) Bookings can be made through our website.
