this very interesting. find out when they have the shows, and don't miss them. the people there will explain and show you the Eagles catching there food. and explain to you all about there bird life

From the rather dismal looking road sign, I was not expecting much; but the family that run the park and all their birds are simply wonderful, we spent a lovely afternoon!

I took some clients with intellectual disabilities here and they and I loved this place.
So much to see.
From the moment you enter the main building there are a range of various birds small and large, endangered (Carnaby Cockatoo) and common (Budgerigar) sitting and flying around the indoor tree branches, where they will happily climb on you.
Then when you go through the doors into the outdoor areas there are so many more birds to see (ostrich, emus, owls, black swans, parrots and many more).
We were all given a large cup of food to feed the outdoors birds (various chopped up vegies and fruit) and we were all amazed when we went into the walk through aviary to have Rainbow Lorikeets descend and sit on our arms, shoulders and even heads (looking for head lice I suppose lol). If you dont like them, just gently wave your arm or nod your head and they will fly off.
It was a truly awesome experience and we will be returning.
Open 10am-4pm Monday-Thursdays and Saturday-Sundays.
10am-5pm all School Holidays and Public Holidays.
Closed Fridays, Christmas Day and all August.

We visited the bird park with our 3 children and thought it was a wonderful experience for all.The park is very well managed with very knowledgable and helpful staff who do an amazing job looking after the birds.You can tell that they genuinely care about what they are doing.My children loved the walk through Avery where the lorikeets would sit on your arms, head or wherever they could find a spot, to enjoy a feed from the bucket.My children asked to go back a second time.Worth a visit and is great for all ages

The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable, fantastic value for money. The hands on interaction with the birds is something I have never been lucky enough to experience anywhere else and what makes it even better is the great job they are doing to help save our native birds. Great place to vosit
