澳洲墨爾本的電車網絡，在市中心是免費的，不用拍卡。乘客包括本地人和遊客，繁忙時候非常擠迫。對於遊客來說，這是非常方便的交通工具。

我們在墨爾本逗留期間，乘坐了有軌電車，確保我們不會錯過任何風景。如果你想要將其作為旅行的亮點來體驗的話，那就沒必要了。因為電車上非常吵，聽不到講解的聲音。不過，這是了解城市的一種很好的方法。

在墨爾本市中心有很多路面電車穿梭街道，而環市電車的停靠站都為墨爾本主要景點，環市電車外型最為古舊，車速較慢，是欣賞墨爾本市區推薦的免費交通工具。

電車的時間沒有我印象中的那麼規律，但或許是我記憶出現了偏差吧。時刻表上說是每半個小時有一趟，但是我們最後不得不跨過電車軌道搭上了反方向的那一趟電車，因為我們等的那一趟遲了很久，我們等了有40分鐘都沒有看到那趟車的影子。但是，通過搭乘電車不花錢就可以四處遊覽。另外我想在這裏提一句的就是，市中心的所有電車都是免費的喲。

The City Circle Tram itself does not go to that area, however, there is a tram line that goes to Beacon Cove. This is where the ferry to Tasmania departs from.

Does this tram go close to Fitzroy Lanes? We are staying in Sebel Docklands and going to dinner and a show there

The free Zone finishes before the boundary in Fitzroy, you will need change trams and tap on to access all the cafes etc in Brunswick street Fitzroy

What time the tram start? I plan to catch a 515am train from la trobe St to swanson St. Will there be a tram or I need to get a cab?
Or can I just walk?

The free tram, which only runs within the business district, does not start until abut 9 AM. You will probably have to walk at 5:15 am.

The circle tram is free. It circles the city and you just hop on and off when ever and wherever you like along the route. I think they run about every 15 minutes but you would need to look that up. They are easily spotted as they are the older style of smaller tram form the 50's either brown or green in colour. They are VERY different from the new trams in Melbourne

HI,
There are several city circle trams (number 35) circulating at one time, they usually come every 8-10 minutes and go in both directions. At each tram stop there is a marron/brown circle sign for the city circle tram which indicaztes which side of the line you need to be standing to travel in which drection. Uwsuaklly once on the tram up the frontthere is a pamphlet rack which contains free brochures, there is usually one which gives you the route of the tram and the various stoops.
