Da Terra Villa Verde is a wonderful option for budget-conscious travellers to Dili in Timor Leste, especially given that Timor Leste itself can be quite expensive. Fernando the owner is laser-focused on sustainable living and he has transformed this suburban bungalow into a green and calm oasis in the bustling city. It's only been open for guests a few months and builds on the success of his other two hostels, one also in Dili and the other in Baucau to the east. All rooms come with breakfast, and they also provide lunch and dinner on request which are always made with mostly home-grown produce. The rooms are clean and have aircon, there are several spacious bathrooms and the hostel is well-situated to the CBD and main transport routes around town. Depending on which room you pick the prices range from $US25 to $US30 a night, amazing value for Dili! Could not recommend Da Terra more highly!
