“We couldn't get there without a 4x4”

Una experiencia horrible

La playa puede que sea bonita pero no la pude disfrutar nada.
Para empezar muchísimas personas acosándote para aparcar y si nos les haces caso y pasas de pagar porque el sitio es libre, te amenazan.
Después nada más empezar a entrar a la playa, más personas acosándote para venderte tumbas, sombrillas, bananas para el agua , souvenirs...los accesos además de toda esta gente a la que tienes que ir diciendo no gracias, son pésimos, sucios y sin nada de mantenimiento.
Una vez llegas a la playa ya cabreada, sigues diciendo no gracias a los vendedores de pipas con agua, más souvenirs....
Una experiencia horrible, no disfrute nada el poco tiempo que estuve ya que finalmente debido a la incomodidad me tuve que ir.
No lo recomiendo.

Stay away - it’s been destroyed by tourism and the locals’ behavior

An absolute disappointment.

Great scenery destroyed by the number of tourists and the locals’ behavior.

Scammers in every corner, pushing you to buy things you don’t want or need, or trying to charge you for services that are provided by the state for free (eg parking in public spaces).

You can find equally beautiful scenery elsewhere in the country, without the horrible behavior of tourists and locals alike.

We couldn't get there without a 4x4
The only road we found (GPS) was dirt and very windy - often little more than a single lane. The final stretch had a "WARNING. 4x4 ONLY" sign - which we heeded and turned around. We went to Playa Biesanz instead (which was secluded and lovely)

Our favorite beach in Quepos
Quepos might have been our favorite experience in our 10day trip of the Western region of Costa Rica. We asked around for which beaches to visit while we were there. The locals all mentioned Espadilla and told us to avoid Manuel Antonio(which we didn't and should have listened to them ha). Each night we walked to the end of Espadilla and sat under a palm tree to watch the surfers and sunset. It was beautiful.

Personally, we avoided the northern part of the beach at all costs. There was one day where there was NOT even one spot to sit due to all the rental chairs, umbrellas and tents that people put out trying to make a few colones...pretty irritating until you figure out where to go.

Krásná pláž
Krásná světlá a dlouhá písečná pláž, my jsme zažily celkem velké vlny, byla to zábava. Na relaxaci a vykoupání super.

Nice large beach and you ca n rent chairs and covering

We came here to enjoy the beach as were not going in to The park. We rented 4 chairs and a big canopy for shade. Water is warm and clean. We even had lunch delivered to us so we did not have to go to the restaurant. We spent a nice day enjoying the sea, sun and sand.

Service at Beach was Great
Came to this beach one day and came the next because we were treated so well by the beach guys. Even brought beach toys over for our granddaughter to play with.

Una de las mejores Playas de mi vida
Una mañana de Playa bellisima
Fue una mañana de las mejores en mi estancia en Costa Rica
Olas, sol, arena, y una playa muy hermosa.
En el otro lado de la calle hay muchos souvenirs, y locales de Super market para comprar locales.
Puedes llegar a un arreglo con los de las playas para alquilar paraguas para el sol.
Puedes hacer parasailing
Yo lo disfrute mucho, totalmente recomendable. Es incluso mejor que la de dentro de Manuel Antonio, es mi opinion

Convenient but great!
I actually preferred this beach to some of the smaller "prettier" beaches in Manuel Antonio. I am a big fan of the wave swimming available here, and the sunset views are incredible. The beach is also big enough that you can walk a bit and get a little privacy (versus smaller beaches where people are much closer). Also very convenient to catch the bus from this beach to other parts of town up the hill. People complain about the vendors, but they are very quick to move on once you offer a polite "no, gracias." Truly not a nuisance. This is a great stop for long walks, lounging, and wave swimming!

Me gustó pero...

Es una playa linda, con mucha vegetación e ideal para descansar pero no me gustó que tuviese tanto oleaje. Lo otro, pensé que en Costa Rica se cuidaba mas el bienestar animal, así que fue muy triste ver como lucran con los caballos algunas personas, los arriendan y los tienen en muy mal estado, me tocó ver 3 que se notaba que estaban quemados con tanto sol, sudados, mal olor, se nota que ni los bañan al termino de la jornada... fue muy triste, arruinó mi estadía :(
