I rented a car when we were in San Jose...but Uber is perfect. There are many parking lots around the museum. In fact there is a very close one so that you just have to walk 100m and your there ...everywhere. Very safe walking around the area. and the cool thing is that all the main museums are close by. I bought all the tickets at once and I got discounts. I would also recommend eating at the snack bar inside the Jade Museum.

About $6 per person - don't know the children's entry fee. There is a lot of "eye-candy" to catch a young child's attention. Gold really shines! Also, many of the sculptures and carved pieces are uniquely shaped and wonderful - just remember to stay engaged - and the children will have fun learning. For a short while - then on to the next thing. The zoo is nearby. There is also a small city park a couple blocks to the southeast where children can run around a bit - just watch out for the preachers who will want to save your soul. Do be watchful for pickpockets in the area - we have never been messed with - however, we've spoken to folks who have a things snatched downtown, so be watchful and have fun!
