Interesting look into what miners endured as they worked in the mines. An overall great look at the tools, how rocks were brought out of the mines and the conditions. This was a fantastic one hour explanation and I highly recommend the experience.

The Copper Queen Mine Tour is a must do for a Bisbee visit. Excellent tour with a knowledgable, interactive staff. Doug, was fabulous at booking and answered questions about the tour and the town. Sean was an excellent tour guide.

The best part of the mine tour was that it got us out of the heat! The trip leader was knowledgeable and fun. Stephanie was a delight. A few items: i hope the helmets they make you wear are clean. Same for the vests. More seating in the lobby would be helpful. I also highly recommend buying your ticket online.

This mine tour is very educational. You will go deep into the mine on a train. It features a middle bench that must be straddled to sit. Safety equipment is provided. Our tour guide was very good at explaining the workings of the mine and patiently answered all questions.

We were visiting tombstone and were told to also visit the bisbee area. We found this tour and were surprised to see that it is a better deal. Our tour guides were Neil and Steve. Both were very welcoming and pleasant with great senses of humor. Neil shared some of his experiences from working here from 1970-75 when they closed the mine. This was the best part of our whole trip.

I found out about the tour because it was advertised in the lobby of the inn I stayed at in sunsites,AZ. Wouldn’t have been aware of it otherwise. The website states that advance reservations and online ticket purchase is a good idea because they do sell out quick. It is a main attraction for the town of Bisbee. Our guide had worked in the mine from 1970-1975 and was great. He explained the process and pointed out so many interesting features of the mine. The train ride into the mine was very unique. They have everyone wear a bright colored safety vest, a hard hat and issue a battery operated lamp to be able to light the way. Very affordable and an interesting part of history. So glad I went.

This experience was absolutely worth our time and money. Our tour guys were excellent at telling us the story of the mine specially since they used to be miners themselves. They were really polite and funny. we learned a lot and it was so much fun that we will probably do it again in the future. My wife and 9 year old daughter had a blast and I would recommend it to anyone.

This was a super fun and informative tour. The train ride into the mine is unique and something I’ve never done before to get into the mine. They pay attention to safety and each person is issued hard hat, vest and a light. Older children would love it as would teens and any age adult. Do be mindful though if person has mobility issue as you have to swing your leg over the seat to get on the train. There are also some stairs in the mine. Our tour guide worked in the mine in the 1970’s and he was phenomenal!

Came to take the tour and were told that it was sold out and it was only 10am and the place doesn't close till 5pm wasted 3.5 hours to get here

No need for old clothes or shoes, you don't get dirty. Bring a sweatshirt as it's cold in the mines. Make sure you have a reservation, too. Enjoy!

How would an older person manage this tour that has limited walking capability?

I wouldn't recommend this tour for anyone who is unsure on their feet. The floors are uneven, with loose stoned and rock. There are some steps to climb and descend. It would not be safe or comfortable

Do we need to make reservations ahead or can we just show up to do the mine tour?

we were there midweek, in april, and could make reservations for about 90 minutes later. all tours were full, so I'd say its best to make a booking, particularly if its high season.

They do not post the times of the tours on-line, but you can call their toll free number and confirm the times and make a reservation. It is well worth the call as the tour is very informative and fun for all ages.
