在我們乘坐遊輪遊覽的時候，遊覽了利福島。孩子們特別喜歡遊泳和潜水。那天早上他們遊了好幾個小時，周圍有很多野生生物。這裡有一大片適合潜水的地方。遊客大都聚集在淺灘上潛泳，如果你是一名優秀的遊泳者，你可以比他們們潛得更深一點。沙灘上非常平靜，有美麗的白沙和迷人的海水。午餐我們乘出租去了離沙灘不太遠的一家小餐館。菜單全部是法語，點菜的時候感覺很冒險，因為菜單上的字我一個也不認識。我丈夫點了鯕鰍魚。我要了香腸和烤香蕉！關於食物的味道，我只能大笑一聲，哈哈哈！不過我們一點也不後悔，真是美好愉快的一天。

我們在這裏呆了一天。正如其他人提到的那樣,當地有旅遊團可以帶你到某些地方,如盧塞利亞海灘,你也可以步行到教堂和海洋保護區。當你上岸時,你會遇到有當地人會提供地陪服務,但要注意的是,迷你貨車會把旅客載到預訂的相關地方,然後回來接那些獨自預訂的人。碼頭邊的水域里有海龜,所以人們可以和海龜一起遊泳。你也可以從遊輪供應點出發往山上走,你也可以租自行車,這也是欣賞島嶼的另一種選擇。

因為我們在島上的時間有限，而且我們的同伴還沒有準備好參与更艱苦的活動，所以我們選擇了體驗熱帶森林漫步和秘密洞穴之旅。我們的導遊羅德里格斯提供了豐富的信息，也很幽默，我們最後一次参觀的地方的業主安托萬先生也很有趣，他展示了誘捕和狩獵的技巧，還向我們展示了一隻幼小的椰子蟹。步行的難度算是中等，路上有岩石和樹根，還有一些更陡的小路，但是我們一行中的老人很好地適應了地形。記得帶上遮陽帽和瓶裝水，可以搭乘從港口來的班車。

這是我們地球上一個美麗的地方，但旅行非常不方便。如果有車還好，但是沒車的話出行很困難，去商店也不方便。轉乘也不太確定，因為工作人員沒什麼熱情為你服務。即使你在餐館訂了一個房間，食物也很難買到。如果你是一個比較隨意的旅行者，那麼不要期望太高，不然你會感到失望。但是這個島絕對是美麗的!!

這裏的女孩子們都扎了辮子，星期天當我們乘坐遊輪到達時這裏只有一家商店營業。我們步行到達山頂的教堂，很喜歡那裡的風景。邁向頂峰。

我妻子以前來過這裏幾次，她在船上休息了一天，我來到森林散步，秘密洞穴遊覽，這是我以前從未做過的。非常值得一來，而且能學到很多東西、也很有趣，對於所有行動靈活的人來說都應該來。然而，我很同意關於碼頭上方山上市場的其他評論。市場的規模多年來一直在增長，但事實上其產品的價格與質量脫節。在我的遊覽結束后，我很快地來這看了一眼，然後就回到船上。最好的遊泳地點是離碼頭稍遠的山腳下。漂亮的白色沙灘，還有樹蔭。

Hi we are going on cruise 1st time in March carnival spirit nuomea isle of pines and lifou bit confused as to what to do re tours on each island is it best to book tours from ship or on island and if tours are fully booked from ship is it easy to get tours or self tour to get back to ship by 4pm what recommendation of tours on the islands we are in our 60’s but fit probably would have ago at snorkeling but not too far out thanks in advance

I would advise not to book any tours, you can walk to the Church which is on the right on the main road. You can walk to the Church on the hill which is to the left on the main road , however the walk is extremely steep and has loose rocks so don't wear thongs. Jinek Bay is not as far as the Church on the hill and is not as steep, you can buy tickets once there. Both sides of the jetty there is swimming. Save your money for the bar.

I dont think you have to pay onboard the ship, but as they only sell a few hundred tickets in the limited time, so if you definitely want to snorkel there I'd get tickets asap as they book out. Yes, its the most beautiful clear snorkelling with the most fish & coral to see. So if you want the best snorkelling that would be it. We got our tickets as soon as we got onboard.

The number of people permitted is restricted so if this important to you then definitely book onboard. I don’t normally recommend purchasing excursions onboard but this is an exception. Good luck and I hope you enjoy your trip to this beautiful part of the world.

Is access to Jinek Bay easy? I seem to remember reading somewhere you have to go down a steep ladder? Is it best to book in advance? May thanks Diana

Yes the steps are only a few wooden steeps after a concrete ramp. One can walk to the bay but as a national park they have limited access (100??) so you MUST book well in advance. My family missed out so we went down to the beach. Walk along to near the end (i.e. opposite to the direction to the pier) and you will find some coral out to sea (not very deep as it shelves out). Also hire a surf ski and go to the limestone sea caves at the point. We had a great day.

Off the jetty to the left (past the huts) there are mini buses and private cars , Tell them what you want and negotiate a price and length of tour. This way if the hobbits get tired, bored you can go back to the jetty.

Hi, you can hire and buy snorkelling equipment in a lot of places or from cruise boat (if you are cruising) but we took mask and snorkel to all islands we stopped at. Makes it so much easier, cheaper and quicker and means if you are somewhere amazing you can just jump in. We did not worry about fins as we are all pretty strong swimmers and were not too worried about trying to swim fast...rather we kept it pretty cruise.

We will be in Lifou in just a. Few weeks on NCLJewel cruise. Can we walk to beaches to enjoy the water and snorkeling? Any tours available?

Lifou Island was one of the best islands we went to on our South Pacific cruise with RCCL. We did book a snorkeling tour and I am glad I did because we were set to go at a specific time and had a guided tour which began by getting into a boat and being taken off shore and got in the water. This was some of the BEST snorkeling I have done. The water was incredibly clear and lots to see. However, you don't have to book a tour. You can bring your own snorkel gear (like we do) and swim from the shore, but you won't have a guide and you have to figure out where to go by yourself. But it is doable! Enjoy the island. :)

Hi, just wanted to see if you can donate clothing to the kids on Lifou Island? Also want to visit the local village, do we need to book via our cruise or can you book through the locals?

Hi I'm sure the school or hospital would accept the donated clothing; phone P&O.
Yes I'd book through the ship. There are no taxis on lifou and you don't arrive at a villiage.
It's difficult to get a private ride. I'd recommend an old school backpack to take the clothing in that you can donate & leave there too. Someone at the Mamma's markets will know the answer and possibly a staff member on the ship going home for the day could assist.
