The beach is really beautiful, it is great for snorkeling, unfortunately the infrastructure is no longer there, former bars on the beach can still be seen, but according to locals everything has been closed since the Covid pandemic, but you can take your own things and enjoy the solitude

This beach is similar to others nearby with fine coral sand. The writing is beautiful to see from above

On our cruise, there weren’t many excursions offered for this port, so we just went to this beach and was not disappointed. So beautiful and enough space to where you don’t feel like everyone is on top of each other. They have local beer and refreshments available for purchase. This is a picture postcard beach just a short bus ride from the wharf. There is plenty of space for everyone, the water is clear and a beautiful turquoise colour. There was coral and plenty of fish, but even just sitting on the beach or in the shallows was great. There are some stalls selling drinks and food, and you could get your hair braided if you want to. An idyllic way to spend the day.

Amazing clear water, long stretch of beach, plenty of room for everyone from the cruise ship. Great for families, plenty of shade under the trees - can also hand your towel up to dry in between. Buy a coconut for $5, toilets available - were clean and fine. Food and drink options. Worth the bus fare from the port.

This beach is a short bus trip from the cruise ship terminal and a must visit! The water is Devine, the people are friendly. It’s great for snorkelling, swimming and has food, drinks, hair braiding and massage. I took lots of $5.00AU as the locals accept AUD. Most things cost $5 or less. Massages for around $15 / 15 minutes. I can’t wait to go back again.

Visited during a one-day stop from a cruise. I purchased on board a bus transfer ticket from Tadine (the landing pier) to Yejele beach for around Eur 15 per person, return. However it is also possible to purchase tickets once on land. About 20 mins bus ride from Tadine, Yejele beach is a quite long, white sand beach with turquoise water and protected by a nearby reef keeping waters very calm andn ideal for kids as well. The beach is shaded by big trees and still unspoiled: there are several rural huts where locals offer basic food (barbq, coconuts), drinks and small souvenirs but (fortunately) nothing too noisy and commercial. Very easy to get a quiet spot just walking a little away fromt the bus stop. Sand is soft without coral pieces. Some coral formations in the lagoon allow the encounters with local colorful small fishes. There are toilets and lifeguards on duty to assist. Local people (/many of them living in simple houses just opposite the road) are are nice and friendly, they like to talk and are not invasive. AUD accepted everywhere. I also saw some places with kayak and water sport equpment for rent. A wonderful place to relax and experience the island life.

The cruise ship has shuttles arranged and you can pre purchase on the ship or buy tickets at a stand near the jetty. It's too far to walk although it looked like there were other lovely swimming areas along the way.

We have been to Yejele beach in the past and were able to organise through our cruise ship. This time there is no option for it, does anyone know how to get there in this instance? I have read mixed reviews.. also, if you can get there, will the markets still be there? Thankyou
Renee

I would say the markets (stalls really) would be open. I believe you are able to catch a bus at the place where the tenders dock. Good luck we were on carnival

Food and drink available for purchase...what currency will they require?
發表日期:2019年1月10日
Gday Bob, I think they'll accept just about anything! But if you have Aussie $ that will be fine. I'm sure they'd take US and perhaps Canadian.

What is a general guide to how much snacks, drinks, hair braiding costs at Yejele Beach? (I understand they take AUD but change is usually in local currency so want to budget/take appropriate amounts for everyone to enjoy their day but not have too much loose change)

Hi we have just got back from there and they were charging $3.00 aud for a coconut fresh and a can of drink was $4.00 aud.
I didn’t take much notice of other prices but make sure you take gold coins and small notes as the locals may give your change back in local Polynesian francs.

What is the distance from yejele beach to tadine where tenders dock? I like to walk.
Do locals sell activities and tours?
發表日期:2018年7月10日
The short route is an 8.8Km walk, which would take the average person just under 2 hours, each way. But it also involves a vertical change (up and down a hill) of 102M.
The longer route is 11Km, which would take the average person just 2 1/4 hours, each way. This involves a vertical change (up and down a hill) of only 28M.
In summary, I suggest taking the shuttle bus and use your walking time up and down the beach.

Just wondering if all of the locals selling food, drinks and markets accept Aussie dollars.
Thanks Paul

Hi sorry I just saw this and yes they all accept AUD but make sure you have small denominations.

Hi! Where do the cruise ships stop and tender on this island? Is Yejele beach far from the tender port location? Are there taxis or public transportation to this area from the cruise tender port? Thank you so much!!

Hi, what options are there to get from where we get off the ship to Yejele Beach? Also how much should we pay?
發表日期:2017年8月2日
We were on the Explorer of the Seas, in feb this year. we had to purchase our tickets from the concierge desk the day before, and it was $15.00 per person. It was worth the money, it was a beautiful beach with lots of trees for shade. Not sure which ship you are on. But we got off around 10.30 and was back around 2.30pm. take plenty of water. You can purchase drinks there, but it depends if you want to.
