Dive Center Merlin is a 5 Star dive operator.. If safety is your concern, then you are in great hands. Andy, their assistant Dive Instructor, took great care to ensure my safety in not so great sea conditions. Like the best PADI dive shops, they didn’t cut any corners preparing me for my two tank dives offering me dive tips along the way. So appreciated to learn new techniques through my diving travels.

Great experience for my first training dive with Eme! The shop is friendly, very professional and very easy to work with. They really tailor the experience to your goals. Good facilities, easy to get to even from a cruise! Highly recommend them!

I had the opportunity to dive with Divecenter Merlin for several days while I was visiting nearby Cabarete. I'm a PADI Divemaster from the US and was looking for a safe and professional shop to enjoy my dives with. Divecenter Merlin was the right choice, and I was very impressed with the amazing team here. My only regret is not staying closer to Playa Sosúa, because I would have loved to dive more with Divecenter Merlin. I'll definitely be returning, and this is now my go-to shop for future dives!

Friendly & professional German-speaking diving school. Easy contact via e-mail or WhatsApp, reliably organized transfer from and back to Cabarete to the hotel, well-kept equipment, professional and cordial support of the dives. Special thanks to the diving instructor Andi for sharing his knowledge of the underwater world of Sosua and to Enea(s?) for the great equipment and the start of the dive. Keep going, Merlins. Another fantastic trip to visit Divecenter Merlin. The staff there are some of the best in the business. The night dives with Ema are in a league of their own. Her navigation through the site in the dark was perfect. She knew exactly where to find the turtles and eels along with so many other amazing creatures that call Sosua bay their home. You will never go wrong diving with this shop. Thank you Juergen for finding such a great team. And thank you Ema, you are the best dive instructor, and the dives with you are some of the best in my life.

Great place. I've been coming here for 7 yrs now, love them all.
You can depend on the crew at Merlin Dive Center to take care of you and your family safely and show you the many cool dive sites Sosua has to offer. !! All within a 5-10 minute boat ride from the beach! Equipment is top notch and maintained to peak performance.
They take wonderful pictures for you so you'll never forget. Enjoy your dives.🥰🧜🏼

When looking for a place to do our Advanced Open Water certification my husband and I found Merlin on the PADI website. Based on its 5-star rating and favorable reviews we contacted Merlin to set up our open water dives. Juergen (the owner) responded quickly and thoroughly to all our questions regarding diving, lodging and transportation. We stayed four days and did seven dives. The shop has a community of regulars --both local residents and frequent visitors -- who seem to spend a lot of time diving with Merlin and give the place a very comfortable and familiar feel. Christian and Ricky were our instructors and ensured that we mastered the material needed for our certification while at the same time helping us to enjoy ourselves. We were very happy with all aspects of our experience.

Not sure about the dates. I suggest you contact them directly. They speak english Jurgen is the person that runs the place They are the most helpful and friendliest dive shop I have dove with. My son and I were there in June of this year and had a blast.....Trust me....These are the best people to dive with in Sosua.....I hope this helps...
