This ended up being a surprise birthday party arranged by my husband with about 20 of my nearest and dearest (and playfully competitive) family and friends.
As a long time fan of escape rooms, puzzles and an avid watcher of The Amazing Race... this was the perfect afternoon party activity. The puzzles were challenging, but not impossible. It exerted physical energy, but was still fun. (The hills in DTLA are NO JOKE!) And the vibe was perfection throughout.
The host was upbeat and on-top of everything, and it was a well-planned out and an overall fantastic and seamless day! (Not easy with the amount of variables in multiple locations).
Highly recommend Fantastic Race... and looking forward to trying out some of their other offerings throughout the city.

This was the BEST Christmas Eve event to spend with family and friends. The excitement started the minute we were told the race started until we reached the final destination. I promise you will not be disappointed in this excursion. A++++++++

I took my staff for a fun race day. And while a one team might argue the fun after getting to the finish quite a bit later and exhausted it was a great time. The puzzles were challenging enough without being too difficult and while there is a bit of walking or running for one team it wasn’t to bad. Being locals I loved that it took us to places I have never been before and now I must go back to really experience them without another team on my tail. Erika was a great host and provided everything we needed.

We planned a surprise birthday party and we had such an amazing time! This is worth doing with your friends. It’s set up very well and our host was awesome! The entire race was awesome lots of fun and great memories! We all loved it so much we decided we’re doing it again and next time in Hawaii

Our group had a blast trying to figure out each clue whilst getting a mini tour of Hollywood and Downtown L.A. Definitely wear your comfortable shoes because there is a lot of walking involved, and if you’re competitive there may even be some fast-paced walking. Overall it was fun and moderately challenging, and I recommend it as a unique group activity.

So much fun to see the city. It was wonderfully organized and put together. We did the LA1 and there were a few hills, but the fun puzzles gave us the energy to finish. I look forward to going again to see LA2 and the one in Santa Monica!

We had a fabulous time on a hot July weekend. We are all huge Amazing Race fans and were very excited about our event. Larry was very enthusiastic and a great host. The company is very COVID conscious and we were always made to feel comfortable.
The race was very well coordinated and provided a rare opportunity to see sights that even locals may have not visited before.
Would definitely recommend for families, friends or even team building.
Can't wait to try out The Fantastic Race at their other locations!

We had so much fun participating in the fantastic race LA! We didn’t win the race but we still had a blast. I highly recommend it!

It’s truly fun for all ages. Our two boys (21 and 18) had a blast. Oh and...my wife and I would have taken quite a bit longer if it wasn’t for them. You really get to take in the sites and sounds of both Hollywood and DTLA on this wild ride. The puzzles aren’t incredibly hard, but they are not too easy either. It make you think and ponder just long enough for a certain Ah Ha moment! Will definitely go on another of their adventures.

Hi! Thanks for contacting us. We do always try to match individual players up. Generally people are more than happy to take on another teammate. I can remember only one time where we couldn't match an individual to a team, but she showed them, and won! Please let us know if you have any other questions. See you at the starting line!

This sounds like alot of fun! Our concern is that we are from Michigan and will be vacationing in LA in September and know NOTHING about the area. Is this going to be too hard for us, ending in disappointment? I see that alot of people that do this are from the area.

Thanks so much for contacting us. We are thrilled that you are interested in the Fantastic Race. We pride ourselves on having created an event that is just as fun as a sightseeing tour as it is a race. We encourage people to take in the sights and enjoy all the cool stuff Los Angeles has to offer. Although we constructed it so that locals do not have a major advantage, it is inevitable that they will have a slight leg up. But again, we feel it's about the experience, not the race. If you are ultra competitive, and your only goal is to win, than, it's possible that you will be disappointed. But if you want to have a cool and unique tour of Los Angeles, you will have a great time. Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks again. See you at the starting line!
