We had a lovely opportunity to see Wicked and while Pantages is beautiful. There are a few notable mentions:
- There is no food or drink In the theater and limited to certain areas. This is great with the exception of the recommended intermission ordering and having down a glass of wine ( not the best) with speed to be able to enter to the restroom lines within an allotted 7 minutes. Would skip an intermission cocktail and put preference on the a bathroom break. This will allow you not to be held in the lobby during the beginning of the second act
Overall a very beautiful venue and great experience

We went yesterday Dec 15th. I have seen this show 4 times at the Pantages over the years. This production was not up to par. We were in the very back of the orchestra section row WW, which may have been a reason for the poor sound. There were times when Elphaba's character sounded on key and very strong but other times it was like there was not enough air behind the diaphragm to sustain the notes and some obvious flat notes in the second half of the show. It was enough to impact my ability to immerse myself in the story. Glinda also had some glitches and didn't deliver the comedic lines with enough strength in her voice and from the audience near me some things were obviously missed. The stage was lovely of course and the lighting was great but it was very lacking overall. A family member with me who is also a choral director agreed so it wasn't just my opinion. Still enjoyable especially if you have not seen it before but not my favorite cast.

We came to see the production of Back to the Future. Beautiful setting for a classic musical. Great show and it was an enjoyable night. Parking is close by and it was easy getting in and out of the garage. The theater’s staff were friendly and overall we had a good time.

Arrived early and went through the ticket checkpoint with ease. The theatre looked amazing and well maintained. It was easy to find my seats, and we did enjoy our time at this theatre. Hamilton was such a good play. They dont really allow pictures, so we just enjoyed the moment.

They don't give you enough time to go to the bathroom at intermission. The facilities can not handle the number of people attending the show. At intermission, it was a circus of people standing in never-ending lines to get to the bathrooms. I never did get to go since they rang the bell to return to the show before I could get in. The show was great and the seats were comfortable, but the bathroom situation was unacceptable. If you go to this place for a show, stop drinking liquids hours beforehand or wear depends!

It was my first night going to the Pantages in LA and man what a beautiful theater. We got to go see Hamilton finally and the show was just amazing. Love love love live theater and it really doesn't get any better then this play. The cast was just amazing and I'm convinced there's not really any bad seat in the house. We were in Orchestra Left row TT that actually sits under the balcony a bit so I was worried it would be obstructed but it wasn't at all. We could see everything really clearly and the sound was amazing. I cannot wait to come back and see wicked in December.

Pantages Theatre is beautiful and reminded me of the 1894 Grand in Galveston except on a much larger scale. We saw Peter Pan in July 2024 and loved it. The play was well done and the character of Peter Pan and Tinkerbell were perfectly cast and perfectly played.. I wasnt a huge fan of the ending, it kind of had a teeny hint of pedofile undertones and a few of the cast seemed to have been misassigned to their roles but it did not distract from the storyline and it was an overall lovely evening. We parked about a block away and had drinks at the Westin before the show in their lovely courtyard. After the show our parking garage was closed and we had to wait for someone to exit so we could jump past the opening to get to our car...not too easy with a disability..but we made it. We prepaid for parking with the tickets so having the garage closed was kind of a shock.

Beautiful Art Deco historical theatre. I used to have a season’s pass here, and it was well worth it. Saw so many great musical theatre here: Wicked, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Book of Mormon, Hello Dolly, A Bronx Tale, Miss Saigon and Les Mis. I usually sit in the side orchestra seats before mezzanine, which offers a great view of the stage.
Past seats:
* Past seasons ticket seats were row M, far right orchestra, and I was pretty happy with these.
* ORCHRC, Row F, Seat 210-211
* ORCHL, Row T, Seat 9-11
The only time we didn’t have a good time here was watching Phantom of the Opera but that was mainly because of the stage production deciding to only use a portion of the stage, causing an obstructed side view. I also saw Aladdin with a few friends in the last few rows of orchestra, and those seats are not worth it as the actors look like ants from that far plus the mezzanine above causes a little sound interference.

The Pantages is hands down the best place to see a play in Los Angeles. What they offer are for the most part musicals, but they also have concerts and serious topic plays as well. If you are in town and care at all about theater, you must go, unless you live in Manhattan, then you win.
The Pantages was built in the 40's and is art deco. It is continually updated to keep the original art deco style. It is just stunning inside and out and it is right on Hollywood Blvd. and in the front is the long walk of fame. The ceiling is beautiful, the entire place is stunning.
They have great shows, mostly traveling but some with the NY cast. The first 20 rows are the best, on the floor. The mezzanine first 5 rows are good and the balcony is okay.
The lobby is beautiful and there is a full bar area to the side of the lobby.
Parking is for a fee in a nearby lot.
The staff is great. They actually know the theater and can direct you. They have been trained as opposed to other places where their function is questionable. They will guide you to your seats if needed, and answer any questions.
You will love this place. Go there.

The best place personally was behind the theater. The parking lot can be entered by going down Vine St. This parking lot will be about 50 but close to your event. There is also a parking structure on the other side (on Argyle st.). I'm not sure about the price, but it was the cheapest, so most likely, if you dont get there quick or pay for parking when purchasing your tickets, they will sell out.
If you're looking to dine before and don't mind walking 8 minutes, you can go to Fabiolus Cucina. They have parking behind the restaurant, which states it can be used for Pantages parking when you dine with them. Just check in with the restaurant to get more details.

I want to stay overnight after show at pantages. Any hotel recommedations..maybe to park at hot and Uber or walk to theatre? Is the area safe?

We stayed at the Best Western Sunset Plaza. It was so amazing and only a few minutes to travel there!

Hi, I'm a season ticket holder as well. Individual tickets won't bevavailable for a few more months, in my experience, for 2020. Season tickets were a wise choice for me as I attended three shows this year, with guests. I recommend them.

Depends on what is playing and the actual scene involved and how tall the person is in front of you. Best to get aisle seat towards the center. Sound is good in all seats.

We'll be attending Hamilton next month. Any suggestions for a dinner close by? Also, would Lyft be easier than parking? We're staying at the Best Western by the Bowl.

We took Lyft to and from Pantages to see Book Of Mormon. Full house and we had no problems with getting a ride there and back. Didn't have to wait long before we were picked up at the end of the show.
