We try to visit as many World Heritage Sites as possible and were eager to add Vigan to our visited list. We finally managed to visit and found Vigan to be more interesting and authentic than we expected (having visited the old town of Penang -- also a WHS -- we found Vigan much better preserved and more interesting. Aside from Calle Crisologo, there are many historic buildings in various stages of decay and restoration. Visitors can enjoy a ride around to the major sites of Vigan by kalesa for P200 per hour.

Vigan ist einen Besuch wert.
Mit ein wenig Sightseeing hat man eine schöne alte Stadt.
Leider ist der Flughafen Vigan nicht in Betrieb.

At a young age i was able to visit and see the beauty of calle crisologo. I was stuned to see the structures of the old Hispanic wealthy spanish families living their life before. it was good that they were able to retain the beauty of the place, and you'll be able to see the famous cobblestone streets that represent Vigan's image.

The place captured my heart and soul. Old structures were preserved and there are lots of attractions within walking disfance only. You can ride the 'kalesa' for just Php 150.00/hour. It will tour you around vigan. You could also choose to rent a tricycle for php 500.00 unlimited time. There are so much history. I love how even normal fastfood restaurants and local shops have that old structure vibe. It is said if you are going to build a structure within a 100 meter parameter range in calle crisologo it should have that same old structure or spanish design. This is a must visit place in the Philippines. It is one of the wonder cities of the world. I love how quaint and rustic the place is.

Viganの近くにあるラオアグ空港からは中国とアメリカへの便が出ているが、コロナウィルスの影響でフィリピン人以外の観光客は非常に少なかった

Vigan è il capoluogo della Provincia di Ilocos Sur. Nel 1999 è stata inserita nell'elenco dei Patrimoni dell'umanità dell'UNESCO è considerata l'esempio meglio conservato di città coloniale spagnola in Asia, le sue vie ciottolate e un'architettura che fonde elementi asiatici ed europei la rende davvero unica. Decisamente non è cambiata più di tanto dal XVI secolo in poi. Il modo migliore per visitarla è usare la 'Kalesa' il tipico calesse in stile spagnolo delle Filippine, il costo per un ora si aggira sui 3 euro o poco più. Potete comunque girare tranquillamente a piedi e fermarvi nei vari negozi pieni di articoli di artigianato locale. Vale sicuramente la pena di visitarla.

We found Vigan the cheapest place on our 1 month trip to the philippines. Every day we would wander the historic part, we watched the free fountain show a number of times, there were free museums and churches. There’s plenty of activity all within walking distance if you get accommodation near the historic area. Our accommodation was in an amazing heritage building...and very cheap as we were there in the off season. I could easily have stayed longer there because of the ambiance,, and so cheap.Dont miss it!

from manila you can go to vigan by bus (Partas) and stop to Vigan Terminal
more and less 1500-2000 PHP for 3 days and 2 nights
