As an experienced traveler, it was refreshing to see a country village/town so clean, the flower gardens on every corner/ runabout, there were no trashy American fast food outlets to be seen, quite the contrary all of the shops cafes etc. Were all doing business (4 days of rain) my home city (Newcastle) could take advice from Kiama on how to cater for tourists, locals, everybody including local businesses instead of lining Councillors pockets and killing there city. Bravo Kiama we will be back when the sun is out.

I would like to commend the Council on how well they look after the civics and public amenities of Kiama. All parks ad gardens were well presented, the streets, road and footpaths were clean and public amenities were all in very good order. For tourists this is very important so well done Council!

A great place to relax and enjoy the cafes, the blow holes, fish co-op, festivals, walks and shopping. We return often and use it as base for trips to the south coast and southern highlands.

From the Kiama Harbour Cabins, we took a stroll down to the town centre. We are very impressed by Kiama Municipality for the well maintained township.
The whole town street is clean, beautifully decorated with flowers in planter boxes and tourist friendly with free wifi provided by the Town Municipality. The infrastructures such as roads, drains, pedestrian pathways and public amenities are well maintained. There are many choices of cuisines to select from the whole range of restaurants & lots of gift shop along the main street. There are several well preserved historical buildings with write up on its history. A lot of photo opportunities as we love architecture.
Kiama is indeed family oriented , very safe and well established comfortable old town!!!

When visiting the Kiama CBD, the local government is to be congratulated on the area it has created. The free wi-fi is very good and surprisingly quick and the infrastructure for tourists and visitors is great. Well done.

Often free Wi-fi is sloooooowwww and not worth being bothered but Kiama Council has actually done a great job and the speed was, according to my husband, 'off the dial'! It's just a little extra to encourage visitors to stay a while longer. Well done Kiama Council!

The Kiama municipal council has maintained Kiama very clean and tourists friendly. The whole town is beautifully decorated with flowers on the street, well maintained picnic places, car parking areas, Library, blowhole area, harbour area and shops. You can spend a day here with your family for picnic.

We love architecture and walked around photographing some of those in Kiama. It was well maintained.
