This was a fun way to spend a few hours in Pittsburgh. Kane gave a great tour and shred his knowledge of the history and architecture of the city.

The Burgh Walking tour is one of the best tours you can take for the knowledge of the historical landmarks that one may come across by simply walking by the city. UPMC, Frick's Buildings, The Pennsylvanian, The Episcopalian Church. From its past to its present, the tour presented us both marks and characters that established Pittsburgh's past and it's impact on its present. Also, Kane was excellent as a tour guide and source of knowledge for the historical points that we came across.

Kane's tour was an excellent way to become familiar with the city: history, architecture and culture. It was a very enjoyable walking tour that I highly recommend. Kane was very engaging and knowledgable.

My wife and I did the Best of the Burgh Walking Tour with our guide, Kane, in February 2023. We were very impressed with his friendliness and knowledge of the city. Two hours flew by, it was so entertaining! We would both definitely recommend for anyone new to the city.

Excellent tour! Well paced and guide knew a ton. Kept it lively and even got some goosebumps with ghost stories. We did this with our dog and it worked out well. Definitively recommend and if you get Kane as your guide you are in luck! Organizers graciously helped with booking so good service too.

A fun and informative tour and a good way to spend an hour and half in Pittsburgh. John White was full of good information about Pittsburgh in general and Pittsburgh whiskey in particular. Highly Recommended.

Kane's downtown history and architecture tour in February (windy and 40's) was great! My friend and I joined one other person and spent two hours walking around learning new interesting things about history, current goings-on, and stories from someone who is very enthusiastic about Pittsburg and about making sure we enjoyed it too. It was very conversational and considerate of our interests at the same time making sure we hit the highlights all along the way. Actually, this time of year turned out to be a good time to go. We dressed in layers and stayed warm with opportunities to go inside some places; without crowds of people or tree foliage, some views were much clearer than they might be at different times. Kane had some good recommendations for us to visit afterward, which we appreciated as well.

Loved this tour and would definitely do it again. Kane was an amazing tour guide! I was so impressed with his knowledge of the city and how well he presented it to the group. He also gave us recommendations on places to visit and where to eat that were great. Highly recommend this tour!

The owner is a nice Scottish fellow who is passionate about his whiskey and Pittsburgh. Knows the city and history well. He has an engaging personality and was pleasant to deal with. Would recommend for tourists or people who live in the area and who want to have some tipple and learn about some fun history of the city. There are a few bathroom and warm up breaks if doing the tour in the winter months.

Many thanks for your interest in joining one of our walking tours! We offer tours daily, often twice a day (11am and 2.30 or 4pm). On Wed July 10th we have one running at 11am as well as 4pm. On the theater to her, do you actually go inside the theaters? How much of the two walking to ours, downtown and the Hollywood theater tour, overlap? I am considering doing both Tuers but really only have time for one. Didn’t know how much overlap there was. Thanks!

Did not go in the theater. The tour was great, but all outside. We have done the haunted Pittsburgh tour to at night which was excellent.
We are coming to Pittsburgh Monday 5/28 and would be interested in a tour Monday morning. How long is the tour and does it only focus on downtown or does it also include Oakland?

Exactly, our tours are about 2 hours long. The "Best of the Burgh" Tour which goes through Downtown is a different tour than the "Discover Oakland Tour" as Oakland is about 3 miles away from Downtown. On May 28th we offer the "Best of the Burgh Tour" at 10.30am and a brand new tour, the "Hollywood East Tour" (Tour about movies filmed in Pittsburgh) at 4pm. Le us know if you would like us to make a reservation for you. You can also easily sign up on our website.
