So fun if you’re in town for a football game! So many fans on the street - lots of vendors and great spots for food. Would go again!

If your Pittsburgh Steelers fan, this is a must place to visit. Pick up your Steelers swag and have some food. We went to Rolands, food was great

Le long de la rivière Allegheny, un quartier animé le soir. Restaurants divers, cafés, poissonneries, pubs et quelques magasins à la gloires des équipes sportives locales, des Steelers aux Penguins...

Great place to walk around and visit different shops! Majority of the shops are for the city’s professional sport teams, not so much for Pittsburgh itself. Multiple places to eat but no options for gluten free needs.

We love coming back to PA for a visit to get our favorite foods so we stay near the Strip District and enjoy a variety!
I am really impressed with the newer areas near the Terminal and further away now - will need to try a few new places our next visit.
Yes parking can be a real pain - we usually stay at Homewood and walk but in evening prefer to go and park - there is no signage about free parking after 6 - but, luckily someone told me as i was about to pay!
The church near Terminal on Smallman is just beautiful - if its open go in and explore a bit.
I didn't realize the riverfront pathway was lit and really connects the strip to the downtown, etc! A real walkable city! Something for everyone ... more scooters and bikes might be nice.

We had heard so much about The Strip before our arrival in Pittsburgh that we headed here first upon arrival. We arrived around noon and found food stores, restaurants, more team shirts than I have ever seen anywhere, seemingly on every corner. I had expected to see unique shops, but only located one, the "art of steel" which was amazing and worth the trip. We ate lunch on the balcony at Cafe Raymond. It was nice to eat above the activity, the food was good, nothing to rave about. We peeked in the windows of the "Macaroni" store which was packed with folks buying deli items, it looked interesting as well. Perhaps the evening experience lives up to the hype.

Es una zona curiosa, llena de restaurantes y tiendas donde puedes encontrar comida de varias partes del mundo.
Con murales y puestos en las calles con artesanías.
Muchas tiendas también que venden playeras y souvenirs de los diferentes equipos de Pittsburg. Puedes pasar un buen día caminando y visitando las tiendas y elegir un rico restaurant para comer

This is Historic Pittsburgh. This area is down where a lot of immigrants mingled, and even went to church! My Great Grandfather was married in what is now the Orchard Hill Church, but was St. Elizabeth's many years ago. There's also the St. Stanislaus Kostka Church where Tom Cruise as "Jack Reacher" handles a group of ruffians hired to put him out of commission. There are a lot of shops, and restaurants in the district, including the first Primanti's, which is famous for it's sandwiches.

After driving for 4 hours, it was nice to stop and walk a bit to explore Pittsburgh. Pretty easy to find parking at lunchtime on a weekday. There's a good mix of restaurants and touristy souvenir shops, with a few local places mixed in. Be sure to hit the candy shop! The Heinz History Center is in this area and worth a visit too. A few blocks still felt a little gritty "up and coming" but we felt safe walking around.

Homeless on the streets!! Make sure you pay for parking (which there are no signs to tell you about it) You will get a parking ticket of 25 dollars. Not worth it.

They open early around 8 am and close late( bars and restaurants). Pittsburgh Macaroni Company , great place to shop closes early / late afternoon.

Wondering what time the Strip closes down on Saturdays? Planning on getting there late afternoon before a 10 o'clock game the next day and would like to get some gear first. Thanks for your help!

Some of the stores close at 3 pm on Saturdays. Some close a little later. There are a few of the shops that stay open until 7pm.

Checkout Homewood Suites. It’s not on the strip but very close. About 3 blocks away. They have handicapped accessible rooms. And an elevator to get from ground floor to lobby.
