在這裏度過了超棒的夜晚，這是城市裡一個非常棒的露天位置！有現場音樂，戶外酒吧，晚餐的咖啡館座位，博物館，旅遊，和美妙的修剪整齊的場地，可以在城市中心四處走走，享受大自然！只剩下兩個周五是開放的了，我建議你儘快來這裏！
“黃金時代的生活”
如果你想知道黃金時代那1%的人是如何生活的，那就來對了。門票包含了家庭住宅和溫室、藝術博物館、汽車和馬車博物館。天氣太熱了，不能在溫室里呆太久，但是博物館很有趣，展示了1880-1914年的汽車和馬車。亮點有弗里克夫婦蜜月時購買的一輛馬車、1898年的潘哈德汽車、1909年的蒸汽汽車和1914年的T型車。雖然藝術博物館不是很大，但是藏品包括了德拉·羅比亞、弗拉戈納爾、斯特恩、魯本斯、蓋恩斯伯勒的作品，還有霍加斯（值得駐足欣賞）。我唯一感到失望的是導遊對爭議性問題遮遮掩掩的態度，比如罷工事件，鋼鐵廠工人的可怕遭遇，以及南叉漁獵俱樂部在約翰斯頓洪水中的作用。我真心希望可以有更多的見解。

For God's sake, quiet down

Tell the docents to stop shouting. The docent and the group she was leading must have thought they were in a local bar given the level of cackling, laughter, and near shouting to communicate. Really distracting and rude.

Great art and atmosphere

Really neat and underrated attraction in Pittsburgh. Every single person we encountered at the Frick was friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Would 100% recommend, don’t forget to make a donation and visit the gift shop as well!

Free and awesome
Only three buildings were open the day we visited but we still had a great time viewing art, antique cars, and plants in a small green house. The staff was very friendly.

Wait Until It's Fully Open
We came here for the “Victorian Radicals: From the Pre-Rafaelites to the Arts & Crafts Movement” temporary exhibition. We were very well satisfied with both the beauty of this show and with the background information provided. However, because most of the permanent collection had to be put into storage to accommodate this exhibition, we didn’t get to see that and can’t comment on it.

The Frick art museum itself is small, but there is usually lots to see in the complex of which it is a part. However, at the time of our visit, the Car and Carriage Museum was also closed for the deinstallation of another temporary exhibition. Clayton, a fascinating 19th to 20th century Frick home that contains additional art, is also closed because of Covid and restoration. What’s left are the grounds and greenhouse. I’m not sure whether the café is open.

In short, unless you come here specifically for a temporary exhibition, wait until the place is fully open before visiting.

Free Parking & Admission, but Timing is Everything
My wife & I visited The Frick on a late September weekday morning, hoping to avoid crowds & include a lunch at their Café which was recently refurbished . We succeeded on the light attendance, but the Café open days & hours are limited so we had to dine elsewhere after we completed our visit. The Historic Clayton Mansion is closed for renovation & social distancing logistics, and the Art Museum had very few pieces on display as they were setting up their next featured exhibit. We also had to dodge construction work on & around their parking lot. So other than enjoying the well maintained grounds and a brief stroll inside the small Greenhouse, we were left to spend most of our morning inside the Car and Carriage Museum with its impressive collection of historic vehicles. Not quite the scope of visit we had hoped for, but there's promise in the complex and we would return when the full facilities are accessible.

Special mention of the friendly & helpful lady in the entry gatehouse, whom we chatted with for some time as we arrived & on our way out. She made us feel welcome, and helped us enjoy the few attractions on offer. Thank you.

Cars, Gardens, Art and a Mansion for Free!
My husband and I spent almost 5 hours at this center. While the main house was closed for renovations there was so much to see. We first went to the auto and carriage museum. There was a special exhibit on hood ornaments which was very interesting. Though this building is not huge the exhibits were beautiful with plenty of information on each vehicle. Docents were available to answer questions and enjoyed talking with visitors. The art museum was nice as well. One of the special exhibits was just packing up, but another was very eye opening. Again, this is not a huge museum, but thoughtfully displays items which were part of the Frick's collection. The greenhouse is small though lovely and the grounds are well maintained with trees labeled. We took the time to walk around the mansion. When we stopped at the visitor's center we learned that tour of the grounds and gardens were offered. We took a tour, which was mostly outdoors and learned even more about the history of the center, the family and the neighborhood. There is a charge for the tour however entry to all other buildings is free. Donations are appreciated. There's plenty of parking and most everything is accessible with the exception of one step into the greenhouse. I can't say enough about the wonderful staff. The gift shop has some very unique offerings, too.

Great at a Different Time
Unfortunately the day we were there, the house was under renovation and was not open and half of the art was also closed. The car museum was open and was excellent, as well as the botanical house.

A lot of buildings closed
The main house was closed for renovation when we were there. Half of the Art museum was also closed. The part of the museum we saw was all very old religious paintings from as early as the 1500s. It was all free, but really not worth the Uber ride out there. Beautiful grounds in a very suburban looking neighborhood of Pittsburg. I wouldn’t recommend it until more is open.

go first to the car museum
Loved the car museum. I've been to many car museums. This one had older, rarer and more beautiful carriages and cars than what I've seen in some other museums. Not a huge collection but probably a priceless collection.

The art museum was not that interesting, although I'm sure that many of the items are priceless, since many of them were 500 years old. My favorite painting was a Peter Paul Rubens.

A free gem of a museum.

At this time online reservations were necessary, however, we were not held to our actual designated time. I called to see if we could come earlier and was assured that wasn’t a problem. We only had a reservation to the car & carriage museum but was allowed to visit the small art museum also. There is also a small greenhouse that we could visit. Do note that the historic house is closed due to Covid restrictions. Did I mention it was free? Bonus! I believe we spent a little over an hour there. Masks are required for the unvaccinated and optional for vaccinated folks. Use your discretion. The staff there is helpful and courteous. We probably enjoyed the car & carriage museum the most. Well worth a stop if you have time.
