Vielen herzlichen Dank Roman.

I'd never considered working with a photographic guide before this trip, doubting that I'd get shots of anything that I couldn't find by myself - I know the Killin area well. I have been proved wonderfully wrong! It was a delightful surprise to get close to red squirrels in a place not 5 minutes away from where I've walked regularly. Mountain hares were another highlight, and I'd never have found them without Roman's knowledge. There were wet weather options (red kite feeding station), local options, options an hour's drive away and although I couldn't do everything we saw everything we set off to see - no mean achievement for elusive Scottish wildlife.
Roman is very knowledgeable, both of photography and wildlife, and an excellent teacher. The tours were flexible according to weather conditions and the requests of the group. There's just such a variety of wildlife to go at I'd definitely take advantage of Roman's skillls again. Finally and importantly, these tours were done with environmental sensitivity and with minimal disturbance to the wildlife - if it wasn't appropriate to go closer, we didn't.
Me? Keen photographer, mainly landscapes, Canon 5DIII. I hired a big telephoto for this trip. You absolutely don't need to - but it made the trip even more rewarding.

Having stayed in Killin before, we were excited to hear about the new photography experiences being offered by Roman.
He is the most amazing wildlife photographer and has spent many hours photographing the local wildlife. He knows where to go to spot red squirrels, mountain hares, red kites, deer and more.
We were there for a week and he put together a great plan based on our walking abilities. Some trips are further than others, but he will work out what suits you. Unfortunately due to illness we had to cancel a couple of the days, but the days we did go out certainly made up for it. You can do full days out or just a couple of hours, so lots of choice.
The photos we took are incredible (we hired a huge camera lens for the trip)! and i feel very privileged to have seen such beautiful creatures in the wild.
We will definitely go back and do the days we missed and would like to thank Roman for his expert local knowledge.

Coming to Killin for an Easter break we did not expect much as we signed up for a 2 day photography tour with Roman. Scotland is famous for its beautiful and wild landscapes but we have not heared particularly much about its divert fauna before. We were up to a surprise just learning from Roman about the different wildlife in different parts of the country. It is of course not a African Safari but still, Scotland seems to really care and try to conserve its animals.
As we did not have time to go all the way to the coast (for otters and seaeagles) we decided to stay in the area for the 2 days. Roman surprised us with his fabulous knowledge about the area and he knew where to go to find partucular animals. The first half if one day we spend at a red squirrel hide (set up by himself) which was excellent as he could give us recommendations on camera settings and we could try around before going "wild". Later he showed us a place for mountain hares, grouse and a variety of birds.
The next day we chased after a group of red deer in the morning. Just the nature itself is absolutly breathtaking in the area. We learned how to approach correctly without them noticing and running off. Later, we went our on a Loch and found plenty of signs of beavers... and suddently one was swimmimg by.In the evening we looked at pics together and discussed.
We are both ok with walking but do not really enjoy (nor are fit enough) to hike all da, so Roman took this into account and looked for easier accessable places and routs (even though we are sure he can manage all day mountain climbs without any problems). Like this we felt we were really in nature but still felt comfortable (and did not have too heavy legs the next day). He surprised us by providing jummy self-made sandwiches and hot drinks to warm up. We really felt confortable and well looked after and Roman is a absolutly talented photographer from whom we really learned something.
