We did the catacombs tour this week and it was great! Our guide, Lee, was wonderful. Very informative and passionate about the history of not only the church but the surrounding neighborhood. Definitely recommend. Just make sure you go to the Basilica, not the Cathedral!

A shout out to Leo, our wonderful and entertaining guide at the Basilica Of St Patrick’s Old Cathedral (Tommy’s New York). Just the right amount of historical facts and historical gossip to make it a super , wonderful visit. Thank you so much.

Beautiful worship space and exceptional music performance. Their organ dates from 1868, a masterpiece of music design and a delight to hear. Preaching is inspiring and the Nolita crowd friendly. Perfectly located in one of Downtown's culinary meccas, you can easily attend service and proceed to your foodie explorations. Keep praying for peace in your life and in our world!

By far the most beautiful cathedral in the world. You cannot find a more perfect mix anywhere in the world. It’s in “the concrete jungle” that we call NYC, yet it kept a classic, gentle, historic feel to it. The stained glass (as an artist) is absolutely stunning. The details inside are incredible. Must see location for sure!

This is a beautiful Cathedral and worth a visit. It has a beautiful altar, stained glass windows and paintings. If you visit, be sure to look near the side entrance at the large statue of Saint Padre Pio sitting and listening to confessions. There is a block on the other side of the “confessional” statue where a person can sit. Unfortunately, it was behind a locked gate, but you can still view it through the gate.

This church was built in the early 1900s and served as a cathedral until 1879 when the new St Patrick's Cathedral was opened on Fifth Av.

My friend heard about this, and it was never on my radar as someone who grew up in the area. The tour was amazing! Tommy was the best guide… Ever! Learned so much. My uncle was an altar boy here in the 40s and never knew about this history.great tour to kick off other sites and little Italy

This is another one of those mandatory visits and you visit Manhattan.
The church is arranged perfectly, the stained glass windows, in my opinion, are out of the ordinary, the floors, the walls, everything, absolutely everything is worth it. It is a visit of at least 1 hour if you see absolutely everything in detail.

Our group took a tour of the catacombs, which was led by Leslie. She is a gifted teacher/speaker/guide. We were all dazzled by the history of the site. She entertains while educating.

What’s the temperature there? How should we dress for the tour?

The temperature in the basement is regulated and was comfortable throughout the tour even though out was below zero outside. I did not have to take off many layers but did remove my outer coat while inside. This is a great tour that covers a lot of different history about NYC.
