I'd like to bring an issue to the attention of senior management regarding the abysmal experience and customer service my wife and I received at your Belmont site.
Having been a loyal customer of reading belmont for over 10 years what we experienced today was nothing short of a disgrace.
Decided to treat ourselves and get gold class. The experience however was probably closer aligned to mud than gold.
We'd purchased our food and tickets onsite so to have a smooth process. When we arrive we simply asked for our popcorn and drinks for the first half and warm food for the second half. Fairly standard request considering this is an option the Reading group advertises on your website.
Once we confirmed our request we walked towards our screen only to be chased down by the attendant (whom I believe to have been on drugs) to confirm which items he would bring in which order. This was odd as it was less than 60 seconds ago he had been informed and confirmed.
An hour and 10 minutes into the film still haven't received anything at all, not even my drink all mind you which I've pre paid for. I went out to complain and spoke with Sabrina who was incredibly apologetic and confirmed this was not acceptable and would in turn be giving me a full refund.
Sabrina says she will bring me my refund while I'm watching the film which was wasn't ideal at all for myself or any of the other paying customers in the screening room.
As I was provided my refund in the pitch black of a movie theatre I wasn't able to verify if the correct refund had been given.
In line with my experience so far it turns out the wrong refund was provided. Bare in mind Sabrina guaranteed me I was to get a full refund.
I leave the screen upon realising a further error has been made by a reading employee to seek out Sabrina. Turns out she had left for the day which brings us to the worst experience of the day at your site. Melissa was argumentative, confrontational, rude and insulting in front of everyone with in ear shot. She refused to provide the remaining refund and also said had I spoken to her originally I wouldn't have got the amount back that I did.
All in all absolutely disgusting. I would like to be contacted by your state manager to discuss then entirety of my agreed upon refund and to lodge a formal complaint against Melissa.

We love going to Reading Cinemas Belmont. The staff are always friendly, the facilities are clean. I love that there is a Dome Cafe, Tao and Italian attached to the cinema so you can either eat at a restaurant or order to eat in the cinema (not just gold lounge) :)

There is a very basic lounge area with couches and other types of chairs in the seating area and a bar.
We found the guy behind the bar in the lounge quite rude when we were in there last month. Don't get there 5mins before they open as they wont even let you sit in the lounge area!!
It's currently about $28 for a gold ticket that just gives you a bigger, reclining seat. You can pre-order food and drink to be brought to you when the movie starts. The food we ordered was ok.
Seating configuration is: 2 seats together then the isle - 4 seats, then another isle and 2 seats.
We feel the Popcorn taste has improved we never used to buy it, because we didn't like the taste, it also drove us to go to other cinemas as how can you go to the movies without having popcorn!.
Best bit is there is a large car park out the front that you currently do not have to pay for unlike some of the bigger shopping centres just now!
There's also a Dome care and a couple of restaurants and of course Belmont forum is on the other side of the car park.

Expensive food and unprofessional staff who prefer using their phone than serving you. Don't bother with contacting customer service - they just say their staff say they didn't do it. Did I mention how filthy the cinemas were?

This place is just behind Belmont Forum, and is soooo handy if you want to do something before/after lunch or dinner, or even after some shopping. Only problem, not enough seating whilst waiting for your line to be called or just waiting for a friend. There is gold/top class there as well, and there are a few video game machines there too. You can take your food in as well! The staff there are really quite nice and helpful and always smiling. This place was just so packed over the summer holidays (the last time we had FULL summer holidays) and it was a god send due to the power of the air con!

Time for a bit of enthusiasm maybe even a smile when providing service to customers. The deadpan zombie look was only missing the open mouth gum chewing accompaniment to be complete.

Good cinema, ample free parking. Gold lounge area was superb nice and clean. Food quite yummy though bit pricey.
Recliners were excellent as well as size of the theatre.
Only negative as per observation, Gold lounge not suited for people with mobility issues. No rail or panels for the unfortunate patrons to hold onto when walking down the dark aisles during the movie. A cinema staff member almost tripped on her way down the aisle after delivering a patron's food during the movie.(Hoyts lux cinema layout design is more suited).

We see all our films at Readings Belmont. Nice little cinema complex with good amenities and food options.
If there was one thing I would say that is negative, I would like to see more supervision of staff in the cinemas during movies. The amount of times patrons use their Mobil phones or are excessive talking during films which detract your attention away from the film.

I’m fortunate to have these cinemas close to me. I’ve been coming here for years and love the value for money tickets and popcorn. Gold class is great too. My only complaint is that they’ve recently started assigned people seats which I absolutely hate. Hope they revert back to the free seating style which is hard to come by these days.
