I hired a taxi driver for airport transfers and a full-day island tour when I was in Barbados. He took me to the Chattel Village branch of Best of Barbados Gift Shop, where they sold genuine Barbados products, not the ones made overseas. He was right. I got a bag full of Barbados souvenirs. The next day, I went back to Holetown for the Holetown Festival and bought another bag of mostly items with Jill Walker paintings on them from the same store. A few days later, before I flew back home, I saw Best of Barbados Gift Shop in the airport lounge area. The prices were the same as the Chattel Village store, not higher like some airports. I bought more souvenirs at the airport. This shop is a must-visit. There are several locations on the island, including the cruise terminal.

After going to explore the Chattle village we stopped into this lovely shop for a quick look, after stepping into this shop we realised that we will be spending a lot of time in here. They have a wonderful array of items from clothes and hats to prints. The staff are wonderful and attentive to every need whilst you are browsing. After visiting the shop we knew that we had to go back during our time in Barbados and upon entering the shop over a week later they still remembered details about us from our prior visit. I cannot fault this shop at all, and I am looking forward to visiting again next year.

I visited two locations (Quayside and Chantal Village) and both exceeded my expectations for delightful souvenirs and gifts for all ages.

This shop (in Holetown, although there is a shop at the airport) was just lovely and the ladies who staffed it were delightful. Was able to find the perfect holiday gifts for my grandchildren and a gorgeous Jill Walker print for myself. Only thing to say is read the captions on the prints (or remember to bring your reading glasses) - I thought I was buying a scene from Barbados but it was Antigua! 🤦🏻♀️

Lovely shop in the cruise terminal selling cute items. The 3 ladies, Michelle, Valerie and Sherry completely made our day! Running low on US currency, they were more than happy and accommodating. We were allowed to make a purchase and charge above the amount for a cash advance. That gesture was a true save for our last cruise day. We needed to tip the staff. We had experienced a most disappointing excursion with a local taxi driver. They were most upset and took us to taxi dispatch to identify the driver who gave us no name nor car number. Michelle explained to the other drivers and I was assured the matter would be addressed. This shop is a great store, bank and detective agency. AND, if one of you gals will text me with how to contact you, I found a fuzzy picture of the driver! Our opinion of the island people was totally transformed into a beautiful experience. Thank you!!

Excellent service for our online purchases. We bought two water bottles honoring the wildlife refuge on the island. We received them in perfect condition primarily because of the care your staff did wrapping them for mailing - adding extra cardboard to reinforce the box and extra bubble wrap! We thought your gift shop at the port terminal had a wide selection of quality products as well as a friendly professional staff. Thanks - Pegi

Not a huge shop but it’s packed with trinkets, clothing and souvenirs to suit most pockets and most people and the staff were friendly.

Holetown is rather small. There are a few gift shops next to the big grocery store (Massey's) The is a very small upscale shopping center with Cartier, Ralph Lauren and the like. Other than that, it's a typical small "island town", not much of anything. The main street in town was all torn up when we were there....perhaps it's fixed now. I'm surprised to hear they're having a festival....maybe it's a tradition.

Good Morning, our Chattel village store in Holetown open M-Sat 9:00am -5:00pm and Sundays 9:00am-1:00pm. Quayside M-Sunday 9:00am-5:00pm,Southern palms(St. Lawrence Gap) Mon- sat 9:00am-5:00pm and Sunday 10:00-3:00pm. The other two branches are the Airport and Bridgetown Port, opens Monday- Sunday.

Yes, WE DO have a good sized shop right in the port in the Cruise Terminal! Altogether there are five Best of Barbados shops: one in the Cruise Terminal;, one at the Airport; two on the south of the island (St. Lawrence Gap and Quayside, Rockley); and one on the west side, (Chattel Village, Holetown). It makes no sense to list them all on Trip Advisor since it would dilute our ranking by everyone's comments over five locations; Trip Advisor works as a geographic application and therefore does not consolidate rankings for outlets with more than one location.

Hi Linda. We stock a good variety of hats in straw at the Best of Barbados stores (there are five in the island, Holetown, St. Lawrence Gap, Quayside, Airport and Seaport). However they are not fabricated locally as we cannot source them here. Basketmaking has gone into a bit of a decline here in Barbados. There is still one lady who does quality work. Her name is Ireka Jelani. You can find her on Facebook, her business is called Roots and Grasses. Tel: (246) 431-0588 Good luck!
