I stayed for 3 nights at Shuiyun Jian during yoga retreat organised by a Singapore-based co-ordinator. The first reaction that our group had was, "wow." The homestay is at located on altitude of 700-800m so it's surroundings are much cooler. The mountains views are spectacular and the rooms are comfortable, cosy and decorated in a countryside-style. Food is delicious and prepared with fresh seasonal produce. The lady boss is very generous, friendly, chatty and full of character. She gave each of us a bottle of homemade osmanthus flower honey (with the flowers grown in her own garden). The bathroom is not so comfortable as its rather small and the holder for the shower head is spoilt. I had to keep holding on to the shower head. Overall, I enjoyed the stay very much. The views and warm hospitality would be sufficient to warrant a repeat visit! In fact, some members of our retreat group are already making plans to return here with their family & friends.
