Thank you very much for reaching out. While the hotel does not have a shuttle to and from the airport, the hotel is located at the Navy Yard Metro stop. You can easily take the Metro from the airport to the hotel. The Metro is also an easy way to get around and see everything that Washington DC has to offer. We hope you enjoy your time with us. There's two elevator systems- one that takes you up to the second floor, and another for second floor and up. They are across the lobby from each other so anyone using the guest floors has to walk by the front desk (can't remember off-hand if you had to use a key for the second elevator). There is a staircase that is locked and gated in between the first and second floors. If you are going down the stairs from the upper levels you can do so with no issues- if you are trying to enter the stairs from the 1st floor (street level) you can only get about half a flight up (unless you have someone unlock it for you). It's annoying if you're actually trying to use the stairs, but secure in the fact that no one can even get to the lobby through the stairs.
