I actually mean the words - "mind blowing". Its a beautiful little hotel in the middle of old Quanzhou and you probably wouldn't locate it on google. I was introduced to this place by a local friend. it is a cute little hotel - with no more than 12 rooms. Each room is decorated as a theme and is named after the old streets of Quanzhou. The owners are a very friendly couple who also happen to own the coffee shop next door and a bar downtown. The rooms are spacious and bear a designer look to each one of them. There is free wi-fi available at good speed. They handover a cardboard card to you on checking in ... seems like a visiting card recycled but it is actually an RF-ID key to your room!
There is no room service but housekeeping is immaculate. Just outside is an open garden seating area for having tea and also an enclosed joint for coffee, cakes and live music in the evenings. Next door the coffee shop is well stocked with books and also has live music in the evenings. There are no more frills here of a 5 star hotel but it is well stocked and has everything one would need. Check the pictures. In case not on a business trip (I was on one) but even otherwise, its a place you must check out. Try it out for just one night if nothing else for the experience. Very reasonably priced and the price depends on the rooms you choose. I chose the one with a bath tub in the center of the room and it costed by RMB 388 for a night. Well worth it!
