Hello, We have a gym on the first floor near the elevator. The gym includes a treadmill, elliptical, free weights, weight machine, and a Peloton bike!

The parking area directly behind the hotel has 3 EV chargers, including 2 Tesla chargers. Destination charging in Berkeley is scarce so I consider this to be a significant amenity for The Graduate. When I checked in, 2 of 3 spots were open so I was able to grab a spot and charge my car. When I checked later in the evening, the other 2 spots were occupied by non EVs.

A few nearby activities to the hotel include: The Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive (BAMPFA) are a combined art museum and repertory movie theater and archive and offers tours for groups and/or gallery admission is free for kids 18 and under. It is walking distance from the hotel. They are open during the evenings. Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday, 11 AM to 7 PM Friday & Saturday, 11 AM to 9 PM. Walking around the neighborhood of Telegraph Ave, just one block away, could be interesting for the boys with the historic Rasputin Records, a Music-store chain trading in new & used CDs, DVDs & video games, plus T-shirts & collectibles. There is also Top Dog a UC Berkeley student staple diet for great hot dogs or wander further to the campus entrance at Sproul Plaza where the Free Speech movement was born in Berkeley. If you have any time during the day: Tilden Park (3 miles away) with expansive hiking trails and views of the bay. There are also the Botanical Gardens or Lake Anza at Tilden, which would be a fun day in the sun with the group. UC Berkeley campus walking tour would be great for the boys. Tours leave at 10:00 am from the Koret Visitor Center at 2227 Piedmont Avenue, in historic California Memorial Stadium (walking distance from hotel). From February 13-April 28, 2017, public walking tours will also be offered at 1:00 pm on weekdays. Tours are offered seven days a week and require an online reservation. Good question! We do not have our own shuttle service, but we recommend BayPorter Express - Airport Shuttle Service. They pick-up from Oakland Airport Shuttle boarding area on the hour and the half hour. The cost is $29 one-way and $10 more for an additional person. No reservation is required from the airport.
