This place was utter HELL. The place was $65, no refund. One rude person for all check-in and no one in dead of night.(when returning key) When we checked in, someone was demanding to see the room, which we thought was strange, until we saw our room... (shudders) There was electrical tape for handles in the shower. Shower nozzle was broken. There was also some black mold-like crap on the shower floor. Cracked toilet seat, muddy palmprint w/ smashed bug still in print on bathroom wall. There were chewed crayons scattered throughout the room. Full-size fridge but it was unplugged and had food left in there from God-knows-when.(great science experiment) It had an awful odor used 2/3 bottle of Febreze and nothing happened... found 2 wads of chewed gum, 1 stuck to a picture on the wall, other on cabinet for clothes, gross-looking sheets, carpets dirty, refused to bring any belongings for fear of bugs. So exhausted we power-slept for 1 1/2 hr, then left at 1:30 and slept in the car, which was better... Immediately showered once we got a new place to stay the following evening.…

My wife and I went to Atlantic city for Mothers Day Weekend. We checked out of the hotel on Friday afternoon May 11, 2012 and stayed on the Boardwalk all day and late into the night, and decided to leave the Casino around 3am. I was too tired to drive home to Pennsylvania and my wife said that there are a lot of hotels on Black Horse Pike. We found Star Motel which had a sign that said "New rooms", so we decided to check it out; big mistake. The room was $50 with no refund, and was unbelieveably bad. It had a lightbulb without a cover on the ceiling. There was a broken pole-lamp in the corner that was covered with some crud. The air conditioner sounded like it was going to explode, and had some tape all around the edges. The radiator was all chipped and broken, the refrigerator didn't work. The phone was thrown under a table and wasn't working. There was a King-size bed that my wife refused to get into and she told me not to get into. The sheets looked filthy and seeing this who would want to use the bathroom. When I went to the office to complain a few people who were checking in left. I tried to get a refund on the room but couldn't so we left in disgust. I ended driving home to PA. Just lucky it was getting brighter out and we got home 3 hours later.…
