Simple but clean accommodation in a room facing the sea. Bathroom is a basic squat toilet and water bucket for washing. Food is simple but tasty - chicken/fish/rice/veg. Coffee twice a day. Owners are friendly and discreet, not bothering you. It’s really cheap. The sea is very loud at night so bring earplugs. It’s on the beachside which is much cooler than the other side of the road as you get the sea breeze. If going to Jaco Island allow about two hours to drive there - the road is terrible (recommend a 4wd). You can hire snorkelling gear in Dili from Dive Timor.

second stay this year the Sina Guest house, it is the last guest house at Com on the esplanade prior to entering the port area .
I would recommend you look at all the beachside guest houses , Mrs Robela is polite and courteous. the rooms are what you would expect for the area , clean and tidy mosquito nets and a fan .
power and external western W/C facilities , no hot water, but who cares in winter its still 30 degrees . any type of food can be prepared , I prefer to take my own from Dili She is happy to Cook I pay her to cook the food I bring and Share with the family what I don't need . the local kids will try to sell you anything at all , please be nice to them and Don't encourage Begging , offer them money for services even if they want to exchange Rupiah for USD . you may need to bring your own cold Beverages of any type , there is ice , please offer to pay for it . oh bring along your own bug spray .

Wir fuhren von Baucau nach Com wo wir eine Nacht blieben.

This place is such a secret gem, I'm hesitant to share this review! So, I'm going to talk about their food because I'm a foodie so wherever I travel, I'm always on the lookout for something delicious, fresh, home cooked and if possible, MSG-free. Mana Robela of guesthouse Sina certainly delivers!
The first time I stayed here, I couldn't believe it, she served us wild deer and amazing fresh lobsters, octopus and fish, caught just off their beach! Her Timorese fish soup with local basil, lemongrass and tamarind is so fragrant, you can't help but breathe it all in for a second before you devour the delicious soupy goodness.
For those of us who have lived in Timor for awhile now, this place is a cut above the rest, food-wise. Plus I haven't even mentioned the view from your table. Most of the food is cooked traditionally on the fire, so I do recommend calling in advance, but if you're not in a rush, then sit back, relax, enjoy the view while your tummy rumbles. Have a beer or ask them to cut down a fresh young coconut for you.
If visiting Com, eating here is a must, even if you don't stay at the guesthouse.
Activity wise, have a little adventure and visit Maun Edmundo's land hidden up the hill! His family are traditional landowners and they have a large track of land where he grows vegetables, has aquaculture ponds that you can go fishing, and lush forests with banana and coconut trees everywhere. But the absolute best are the tiny waterfalls and streams to cool down in. If you ask, they can prepare a picnic for you to bring while up there.
Accommodation is simple, clean and worth the price. Best rooms are those with an oceanview (2 only), no air-conditioning just a fan but then again, not really necessary as the breeze off the sea is wonderful. Since visiting the first time 2 years ago, they have made some upgrades to the (shared & outdoor) bathroom recently. It's still basic, but floors are tiled with western-style toilet. No shower, so you bathe using a mandy (tub of water) and bucket. Recommend bringing your rubber flip-flops, headlamp and shampoo/soaps. Towels are provided
