Calle de las Huertas traverses the Barrio de las Letras. From Plaza de Santa Ana it runs downhill towards Paseo del Prado. Its cobbles are carved with quotations from great Spanish writers. The street is famous for its cafes, tapas bars and restaurants.
We were wandering around the Huerta neighbourhood when we came across this magnificent looking church and what a great find.
In a city that is packed with great looking churches this was one of the best we went to.
The church is famous as it houses the 17th century statue of Jesus.

The hotel is right in the heart of Madrid two steps from Plaza Santa Ana. Great stylish rooms and a nice bar downstairs as well as on rooftop. Very nice pool on the rooftop to recover from the busy Madrid life.Staff is great and helpful, thank u David Testal!
